these body clips suck. they bend come off easily and i hate them. so how do you all hold on your body? do the locking body clips work as good as the manufacturers say they do?

The clips for the 8th scale buggies are just big and meaty. There is a great tip in the tips section by SkyMaxx I think for puttin pull tags on your body clips. That's the only mod I do. They stay on fine. Maybe you can get some big body clips and use a little drilbit to enlarge the holes in your posts.

I use the standard body clips. I have a good supply in my toolbox so when one gets lost, I just put on another one.

You can also use Dubro Clip Retainers to keep from loosing clips.

Dubro clip retainers....best $3-4 bucks I've spent on RC.

Mr T

Clip retainers are so good I don't even carry spare clips anymore....even if the thing pops of from your body I get real bright colored ones so I can see them in the dirt......

I just use the clip extenders (ful tubing with zip tie). The only time I loose a clip is when I can't remember where I put it. Just get some thick ones and you'll never have a problem.

i also do the fuel line thing but my clips still come off. i have no problem finding them its just that they keep coming off. what about the locking clips?

This is weird, I use plain old clips and have never had a single clip come off...

Dubro clip retainers for me, and sometimes I give the end of the clip a slight bend. I also like the clips from Associated, the long ones for under the body and the short ones with the bend in them for above, they seem to stay in pretty good.

I use a long piece of solid wire. First I cut a piece of scrap lexan to match the body mounts, put the body over the posts, put the scrap over the body, then run a long piece of wire through both posts and bend it at the end.

May not make picture day, but I have yet to loose the wire... also, the wire comes in handy to cobble a truck back together sometimes.

I just use pink fuel tubing on my clips I had the dubro clip retainers but I ripped one them off and broke it in about 2 roll overs

I'm calling boolsheet man!!! :jk: No way dude...If you haven't then one of two things is happening....
1 You have been blessed by God and should have never spoken of this true blessing bestowed on you by our lord. Because like Sampson you let the secret out you are doomed to lose 1 a day from now on.

2 You just don't run your RCs and just have a room of shelf queens.....

what about some clips that (almost) never come off? i know the dubro klip retainers hold them for you but it dosnt stop them from coming off the post. i will prolly get a dubro klip retainer but what are some good clips that dont bend and dont come off the post?

locking clips are what u want but the thing with those is if they bend the are a pain to get out. also u can try just bending the normal clips abit

actually I do the Dubro clip holders, and bend the end of the clip too and it's a bit of a pain sometimes but at least I don't loose them anymore

what tip do u bend? the crooked one or straight?

one of my buddys just uses some screws that will screw into the post holes.. you have to have the screw driver ever time you want to remove the body but they dont come off for anything
