hi,
has anyone got the hot bodies tornado or heard anything about it thinking of buying one any help would be apprecated
cheers rc_king

Id just reccomend staying away from it...just my Opinion though...I havent heard praise from it like its competititors from *bigger* brands...

anything u would reccomend in the same price bracket kit or rtr

Yeah there really is nothing in that price bracket that is RTR at all. You might think of saving a little more money and getting a little better quality kit the results in the long run you will be much happier.

rc_king - the vehicle itseld is decent, but parts are almost non existant. Better off with something that has more support such as the NTC3 RTR or the RS4 EVO

Rc_King, If you are serious about racing, forget this kit and dont ever think about it again. The car it self is decent like NA said, but i can almost guarontee that it wouldnt hold up against the new HPI or the NTC3 or even the Serpent 905 (905?) If you really have no more ways of getting money...I guess you can get it....but I would doubt anyone has anything good to say.

hey,
what about
an ld3 or an ld3 pro or i might go offroad
what is a good beggining offroader

I have a tornado and i'm not satisfied when i first try it. I change the stock engine to FR15, i also change the headers, muffler, air filter... now it runs fast. check www.remotecontrolhobbies.com for tornado hopups. One more thing, not all hobby shops are selling tornado parts. You have to buy online at www. remotecontrolvehicles.com

Offroader as a Buggiest or a MT finatic? You need to be a little more specific...and about the ld3 pro, I've beat that with my Traxxas Rustler on a track, and the rustler handles like a BRICK (hence the nickname-Brick) and Id say that pretty much any Kyosho or Mugen buggy will be a great choice...there is the new ofna...but Id stay away.

As for Monster Trucks, I can say that the Savage beats out the TMaxx in all ways possible. I have driven my neighbors Tmaxx and I own a Savage, and boy if I had the Tmaxx, It would be long gone by now. The Tmaxx basically flips every turn, and it isnt very balanced for jumping. The savage has humangoid shocks and a .21 to boot. The stock engine is pretty fast, but its alot cheaper to upgrade to a Mild .21 than to get a .21 kit and the Engine for a Tmaxx....

For Stadium Trucks-Racing: XXX-NT or RC10GT would be your best choices...these are popular trucks with amazing hopups. If you want durability and overall FUN, I think the rustler is a great choice. Its got speed-beats my .21's,Its got Durability-Rammed a wall WOT and havent broke a thing yet.

Overall, the decision is yours, but the best offroading advice I can give you is: DONT BE CHEAP! Dont buy cheap crap that will break on the first day. I say go out spend a fortune, and dont ever spend a penny on replacement parts...Hopups are a diffrent story...

Sorry to make this so lengthy, but I hope it helps.

The day you find a vehicle that doesn't break, is the day Hopups arent worth it.

All i can say is that i kind of want one.

I've sunk a shiteload of $ into my maxx and now it's durable. I think i'll stick with the maxx. We have history. I know every screw, bolt, washer, bearing, arm... like the back of my hand.

I don't want to learn everything about something else, but from what i've heard, the savage is tough to beat. Especially the SS or the 25. The original 21 rtr had some issues that i believe were somewhat taken care of in the SS and 25 RTR.

I am not sure if you are in the US but you can get the Savage 25 RTR for $389-399 online at places like ultimatehobbies.com which is a bit cheaper.

**edit** sorry just saw you are an aussie, I am not sure if you could save any money still with shipping from the us but it might be worth a shot.
