has anyone designed a good wheelie bar for the savage. I put a 4.6 engine with a 47spur 15clutch bell this thing wheelies and flips like crazy. Unfortunately really shreading the body and engine top

Quite a few modifications, but it should do the trick.

Dang rolex thats really nice.

I put a peice of alum. on the battery box on my firestorm so it doesn't bitch it up too much.

i think it would look better with some dust on it rolex :D
Sorry, I don't do dust anymore.

It may look great, but guaranteed it has never been tested. ;) :stick:

Not tested in the real world, but carefully engineered to work flawlessly if the shelf ever breaks and the truck goes down rear first.

But all seriousness aside, a rigid wheelie bar will pop your rear wheels off the ground when it hits with sudden impact. Adding the shocks with thick oil and hard springs will slow the rise and put the nose back down.

Rolex, thats a pretty good concept you have there.
Although i do not believe in bitch bars.

how did you machine that, its beast rolex. send me one for a tmaxx i can tell you if it works or not. Seriously though if you made that can you make me one for a t maxx.

... so it doesn't bitch it up too much.

Someones growing a pair of big'ens to throw down at rolex like that...

:hehe:

Rolex's does look nice, but I have a feeling that the first actual rear ended landing is going to smash it. You have a front AND rear skid plate/bumper for a reason. The rear bumper takes a lot of abuse as a basher.

Sure looks sweet though.

Have you thought to try the one HPI makes for the savage? It's all made out of plastic, so it should take a decent amount of punishment before becoming garbage.

Found a few images of it installed:

i made one for my maxx. i went off a jump with it it got destroyed in the landing.

I just have the HPI one on mine too but you did a great job on your home made job.

I'm going with olds on this one, the HPI wheelie bar does the job for my 2 Savage....but yeah i like the looks of Ralph's wheelie bar for sure.:whhooo:

I have done plenty of dust in the past. couple of rustlers and a Tmaxx that ran almost daily.
The wheelie bar was actually a stock unit that was taken apart and sort of re-engineered to provide a soft stop to the rise of the Savvy.
Other than a lot of time to get it right, it ended up at about $100 for what you see there.

Landing? Like landing a jump off...the......dirt?!!?!?!?:whhooo:

The only landing thats going to be doing is if Rolex drops it off the self while hes cleaning it. :p:
