what engine are you going to be running Bouzouki?

Mugen X-12 most likily, or some other high end Nova based engine.

Forgot to mention, i'll be using 25% or 30%.

If I were to run a fuel that didn't coat my internals after running I would definatly use ARO. Its worth the 3 bucks for the aro compared the price of an engine.

Yep, every time I know i'm not gonna be running in extended period of time, I use some hobbico after run oil.

Currently using O'donnel, i'm going to switch to Byrons with my new engine, any one know the oil % for byrons, I know O'donnel is 8% (I think)

Also, I need some more shims, anyone know wheere I can order some online.

byrons 25% is 11% oil

Beason I agree w/ VB there...why risk ruining a good engine for lazyness....I use ARO every time I run....I had a situation where I didn't use it in a trx2.5....I thought I was going to run again the day after next....well bad weather moved in for a week....the mill sat and just had so much surface rust form it grenaded on me in 5 mins.....learned that lesson quick......you may think you'll run soon but mother nature has a way of changing those plans for you......and you know setting up your stuff to dump some oil in it will not be the first thing you think about whne the rain comes.....

ARO usage

Thanks for the info PFish. I just wanted to know which way I would likely go. I use ARO religiously anyway after every run. Heres how I do it.......

Take the plug out and put several drops in, disconnect the fuel line, and bump it a couple times on the starter box. Then put a few more drops in, move the piston to the bottom, and replace plug.

I don't ever take the air filter off, or put any in there. Its not that important to put any in the carb, or is it?

i always do becuse it lubes up and protects the carb, the crank shaft, and helps coat underneth the piston better that way.

I blow my car off w/ a compressor and pull the AF while it's starting to run low...I dump a shitload of ARO (replace filter) and let it run out of fuel...then put another batch of ARO and bump it to coat it good....you get a lot of smoke when you run w/ ARO.......I try and run mine dry everytime I run......

man i went to the lhs to get some of this "super juice" my lhs sucks butt!!! the only thing they had 30% in was some stuff that was kinda clear.. can't remember the name but it was 12% oil.. they had white lighting but only in 20% and they had the blue thunder in 20%.. i was like wtf i want 30% AND 8% oil not one or the other.. he said thats all they stock.. and the bad part is its the closed to me and its like 30 min one way.. plus they have crappy prices.. he wanted 20 bux for a cheepo traxxas stock servo.. the fuel was 27 bux after tax.. i heard someone is putting in a hs in the town i work in so maby that will be a better place..
