We just had a lightning bolt hit here that sounded like what I imagine an atom bomb would sound like. My windows turned white and rattled like crazy, my walls shook, and the boom went on for more than 30 seconds! I thought it was the end! 😳😳😳😳🤔🤪🤣😁

And the worst of it has already past.

Nice. Glad your safe.

I am eqaully in love and being terrified of Florida sinkholes and lightning. Back in 98, El Nina I think it was. Had multiple tornadoes. The lightning was so intense, the pine woods was lit up better then the sun. I also had lightning hit so close, the static zapped the piss out of me on a bicycle.

Yeah I have felt that static buzz from a bolt before. It hit a power pole right above my head. But in my 50 years I ain't never heard one half as loud and long as this one. And I never felt one shake the earth like this one did either. Heck I may find out a factory north of me blew or something 😜 I haven't looked outside 🤔

Bro! That is exactly what happened to me last Sat when all my networking gear got fried!
Yeah man, I am sitting here thinking I got real lucky. If I had sonehow recorded that it would have gone viral. The US Nationals wasn't that loud.

Yeah man, the boom was so loud I could feel it pass through my body. I was out in my garage with the garage door open when it happened here! Plus the air smelled ionized for a minute afterward. My 80 year old aunt who was in my living room almost had a heart attack it scared her so bad

That's quite the storm system down there!

You could send some of that rain up my way. We've been needing it this year. Rivers are getting really low, it's making fishing a bit more difficult!

Florida storms, when the sea breezes collide, its a show. It can be 100° and the temp can drop 20. We had long drawn out thunder, quick ones, loud rattling ones. Even had car alarms, multiple at once go off. Like I said. I love it but am terrified.

Come visit july. Thats the peak.

I have always loved storms, but I have always known when to bug out as well. When I lived up by Indianapolis there were these huge fields by me with an overpass going over I-74. You could see for miles from that overpass. I always knew when sh!t was about to hit the fan because teams upon teams of storm chasers would fill that overpass. But they usually got there 10 minutes after I did 😜
