it also frees up space as youll no longer need the reedy esc, i moved my battery to where the esc was giving me a slight amount of weight in the front helping me in some ways with cresting a hill

Man, I found a SE Fusion 1800kv on ebay for $69.99! Not the 1200kv, 1800kv!

I was thinking of the Holmes 12t & HW 1080. Will it kick it up too? For trail stuff? On 3s?

I run both on 3s no problem. I'm sure with the proper gearing it would do trail running. The TRX-4 is geared 45/9 with overdrive in the front. It won't go fast.

The Wroncho has 32p gears with 56/11 gearing. It goes a little faster than walking pace at full throttle.
