Since you replaced that wire, I highly doubt they will warranty it. Maybe test the capacitors and see if they are ok. If the ESC works and you just don't have power to the Rx, just grab a Castle 10A BEC.

Well I gave the track owner my car, he used his own battery (CHNL short) and it all worked. I tested it with my batteries and it worked. Idk what happened. Maybe the bullets need to be resoldered? (Maybe a not so good connection) Maybe one of my cells in the battery was not balanced? Not sure. But I will test it again when i get home and put it all back together.

Good to know. Maybe it's got a loose connection in it. Drive it and see how it does. But if you lose power to the Rx, I'd make sure you have a bit of a drag brake setup in the ESC til you know she's good to go 😉

I left the track but I'll drive it around the house to see. I'm pretty sure I have about 6% drag brake in the esc.

I'm not even sure if the drag brake will kick in with loss of power to the Rx now that I think about it. I have never had that happen. I assume the ESC would just go to a neutral state. But I don't know. @tntpoof would be able to chime in here I'm sure.

When the car shut down on the track it went into braking. I don't think I have any kind of failsafe set in the radio.

Most escs work just fine even without capacitor. I have 2 escs that were plugged with reverse polarity for a short time just enough to blow the caps. That's why I like old school escs with external caps, just cut the wire :). Maybe it makes some difference in high power applications but for stock racing not at all, actually now when I am thinking, even In drag cars I haven't seen capacitors being used.

BEC is not the capacitor. You are talking about something totally different here.

Yeah I have no idea what happened but it was very odd. It all works now. Both of my shorty batteries are balanced and IRs are good. If it was a connection issue I did put some heat shrink near the bullets. Used a hair dryer to hear them up since don't got a heat gun. If it does it again I might just resolder the bullets. Or get new bullets. My uncle put a strip of plastic in the bullets so they can expand and stay in the battery well.
