Hobao Dominator MT 1/8 Pics Uploaded.

Hi Guys,

I have just bought a Hobao dominator MT 1/8 with an 8 port engine installed. its done about 3 liters of fuel since new and is almost mint condition apart from the shell has a few marks.

has anyone ever had one? anyone had an 8 port engine before? I'm interested to know your opinions.

I got the beast!

there's quite a size difference to the eb4, slightly longer/wider chassis and the wheels are huge :)

the engine is a hyper .21 8 port, carb slide rubber is split so i have ordered one straight away.

only things i have dont to it so far are:

uprated the springs
put a higher tooth count clutch bell on
checked sleeve and piston ( mint condition )
stripped and cleaned it.

will need a new pull start cord/handle and thats about it.

i will post up pics tomorrow because its now 00:28 GMT and the lighting isnt great.

overall I'm very happy with it.

I had the Hyper .21 8 port race engine in my 1/8 hyper PCR buggy, had a different cooling head though, never had a problem with the engine or the buggy. The engine was easy to tune, held its tune well & hardly ever needed to be touched & it went really well, I was pretty happy with it, might not be as fast as the more expensive engines but it done ok on the track against more expensive buggies. I gave it a good flogging, as did my brother with his & they were both still going strong when sold.
