Highest HP engines?

Really kind of not a good thing to judge since there's no "official" way horsepower is measured on these motors. Companies make claims but most of the time the numbers they throw out there are very far off. You'd be hard pressed to find something race legal with more power than a Novarossi 528XR.

So you don't think that the, I think its the nx 7.7 motor that is in the Genisi truck is truely rated at 5.0 hp@23000 rpm, and this is a heavy truck, that also can do "wheelies"!

"truly rated" in this hobby is a subjective term, at least when it's referencing horse power and torque.

What are you looking to put an engine in? What are you looking to do?

The CEN engine is a large footprint engine that won't fit in much of anything other than the genesis without modifications on grand scale.

As far as HP ratings, I like to look at dyno charts. Is any dyno accurate? Who knows. But, when you have a list of over 100 engines all tested on the same dyno, by the same people using the same programs, it makes it easy to see how they compare to each other.

I have yet to see a dyno result that matched what was on a MFR's label. Aside from the few companies that use the XDyno numbers (Axial is one I know of).

Here's a list of XDyno results that I cleaned up and threw into an image. You can look at them and compare yourself to see which out of those at least is the "most" powerful.
