High horsepower engine in a savage, what gearing do you run?

I thought about that. Figured that's why they run the steel spur on the XL. Kind of lame if you ask me... Maybe I can try using some of those conical washers like the revo used to use (and still may) for the slipper spring. Still some give, but less than a spring.

Although, 16/49 is working well for me now. Is just hard on the center axle cups and axles. I have BP diffs now, so those shouldn't have issues with too tight of a slipper.
 
i prefer as little slip as possible. if nothings breaking, I'm not abusing it enough. have 10k worth of spare parts in my shop. all my bases are covered and if all else fails, i have 11 other trucks to rob from!
