sorry your going to thing I'm well dumb but what makes the engine more rich when the screw is wound in or out as i have screwed it right out as there was no smoke coming out of exahaust and there still isnt but dont want to turn it right in an risk blowing engin many thanks for the help for the for the future

Think about it like a hose bib, if you turn it counter clockwise you get more water, so turning the needle counter clockwise you will get more fuel, turning it clockwise will close it and cut the fuel down or off depending about how far you close it.

cheers m8 i thorght asmuch but still no smoke when wounde right out i would have thorght it would have bogged down or ran funny but it hasnt

You should have smoke when you get on the throttle. What fuel are you running?

It changes how it runs at high speed, not while you're sitting there adjusting it.
