Ok, I have the XTM X-Cellerator Nitro 1/10 ST. I have two problems with it.

1. The gas leaks all over the frame around the gas tank is it a hose leak or a tank leak? One person said it should do that.

2. Ok problem two is i was running it yesterday and the throttle stuck wide open and it rain into a curb. It was ok and everything worked but the car was maybe 20 feet from me when it did that and it happened once before. Could it be the batteries in the back of the car? (sorry don't know the terms still new to this).

1) Absolutely should NOT do that. Take the gas tank off and submerge it in a sink full of water. Leave both hoses on it, plug one with your finger and blow into the other, you'll see bubbles come out where ever the leak is.

2) Get a fail-safe, they are $20 - $30. They hook between the receiver and your throttle servo. If your batteries die or you get some kind of interference, they can be set to activate the brakes or at the very least return the throttle to neutral. Many people will tell you that they are a must and should be bought before you even buy fuel. Several sites carry them, just do a search for them on whatever RC online store of your choosing.

gas should not leak!! replace your fuel line and your tank asap. Second, I've owned these beginner nitros and the issues your having could be one of 2 problems. First your batteries could be dead, if you think this is the problem REPLACE, second your throttle servo could be sticking. The way i know the difference is to check it on the bench, if it does it on the street it will do it on the bench. Just turn it off and hit the throttle 15 or 20 times. Hope i helped, P.S. people will tell you to test your tank for leaks, but the bottom line is that there's a 90% chance it needs to be replaced so save yourself some time and get a new one.

One of my friends said it was ok to have the gas on the frame and it was normal. It looks like jello. I'm going to go buy one of those fail-safe.

:goodpost: Your leak could be just as simple as a dry cracked up o-ring on the cap of your tank. I recommend the submerge idea here instead of buying all new, you have nothing to lose.

Fail safe is a must too...
