My buddy has a nitro rush with a xtm .18 in it. And we can not figure it out it starts real easy but when you try to rev it up it bogs and sputters and some times shoots raw fuel outand then dies . I have tried to lean it out and richen it up and still the same thing. We have checked the tank for leaks none has new silicone hose on it. I have taken the carb apart and cleaned it 2 or 3 times. The car sat for a year or so with fuel in it so I took it all apart and cleaned it twice. The motor only had about a half a gallon through it. And it has good compression. I have sealed the motor and checked all the o rings on the needles. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

If it sat that long, with fuel in it, the needle O-rings are probably shot. Even if you checked them, if they are not sealing correctly, it won't run right.

I'd change out all the O-rings on the needles and make sure you sealed the backplate and carb with RTV.

i had a similar throtle & dying problem with my engine........replaced o-rings, gaskets & seals & still the same problem..........come to find out my clutch springs i put in was too weak for my engine......

Well come to find out we fixed it but I dont know what it was. We changed the o rings ( thanks monkeywrench), the tank and the pipe had a bunch of goo in it.So one of those fixed it. Runs good now, thanks for the help.
