Okay. 1st is my motor question. I ordered a CEN Racing CT4S.
I am downgrading the engine because I found out the engine that comes with the car is ROAR illegal. I am going with a Novarossi NS12 S5 .12 rear exhaust engine. Now at the Cen Racing website ... I see the picture of the car from the top view and it looks like the header is on the side (side exhaust), but if you read the data all the way at the bottom it says rear exhaust and the picture of the motor alone "IS" rear exhaust???????????

Does anyone know if these two motors will be interchangable? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

2nd question is on Radios.... I want to upgrade my radio to a JR Racing XS3 Synthesized FM radio. I want to be able to run my T-maxx, my CT4S and eventually other cars... Now I think I kinda understand how it works.. For each car/truck I have to replace the reciever with a synthesized one. My question is... when you buy the radio it comes with servos? Why??? I just replaced my steering servo on my t-maxx with a Hitech Digital servo and really don't want to get rid of it.... do I have to use their servos????
Thanks...

What about a pullstarter.. again on the top view pic of the CT4S you see a pullstarter but on the pic of the motor at the bottom you don't... I don't believe that the Novarossi engine is a pullstart.. would that also be a problem.. ???

On the engine question I don't have an answer. As for the radio, no u don't have to use their servo's. The one u have now should not be a problem.

I see ur in Old bridge, where do u race at? I'm in Linden about 20 minutes away byy the Parkway.

Well... I just bought my first rc a t-maxx about two weeks ago.. and I hooked up with some guys down in Jackson NJ.
They are great guys and they have two outdoor tracks On-road and off-road... I think they will be opening their tracks in the next couple of weeks... I also heard of another place called potbelly raceway and DC Ultra... I think one is exit 3 off the TP and the other is in PA....so I will be putting alot of mileage on my real car.. lol.. where do you race?

Well after further review the call on the field is overturned.. I figured out that the engine sits sideways and I guess conects perpendicular to the belts..... I also had my radio/servo question answered now all I need to know about is the pullstarter? The Novarossi engine is stated as a non pullstart and the CT4S car is a pullstart... can that be changed and is it feasible?

I race in Edison. They use one of the parking lots at Middlesex county college and turn it to a race track. I'm going to race this year in Jackson as well. So I will probrably see u there.

what kind of racing do you do? I am new to off road 1/10th and on road touring 1/10th.. are they doing any racing by you now?

The new schedule is not up yet. They start around the end of April. I race 1/10th on-road. I dunno if Jackson is going to have MT races. If they do then I'll race my T-maxx.

Hey I know JRC is having a Micro 1/18th race next thursday... I think.... Dean will know.. I am trying to buy a 1/18th just get in on the fun.... maybe I'll see you there...

On the subject of the Rossi engine, go to the bottom of the page microengine and read the notice in red. What does it all mean?
Looks like the only pull starter engine is side exhaust CX 12

Is there a way to switch the car from pull start to non - pull start I guess is my question.... Thanks.
