I have a t-maxx .15 and I upgraded the engine to a 2.5, i need help with the engine doesn't keep the iddle. and i have tried everything,, can anyone help me ?

Describe your problem in a bit more detail. It just plain WON'T idle or you can't get it to idle for very long? Try increasing the idle gap with the idle set screw. It's the one on the opposite side from the carb slide.

...what? Are you using good nitro? If so, does it die instantly after taking the quick start/glow igniter off?

My main concern is the .15 to 2.5 engine...is this what you were told?

yeah cuz there is about a million things that might be the problem, explain your situation in a little more detail. Then we can help

isnt .15 the standard measurement for 2.5? I do believe .15 cubic inches is equal to 2.5 cubic centimeters, where as a .18 would equal a 3.0,,,,,etc.

that is true. however there are 3 standard tmaxx engines. the trx pro.15, the trx 2.5 and the trx 3.3. so they are equal in size, they are NOT the same engine.

not in torque and power its not. anyways back to the idleing problem. describe it a bit better. We wil get it runnin rihgt again.

The point was, what they have in common is that .15 is to ci what 2.5 is to cc. However, their power and RPM differ due to the stroke. The 3.3 is larger.

Back to the engine problem. Have you broken it in yet? Factory settings are rich, and most likely you will need to lean the LSN slightly to keep it running.

t-maxx 2.5 iddle problem

well, the niddle have to be open alot in order to iddle, but after running for about 1 minute it shut off, i even got a new carb. please help

Have you been trying to get your engine running right for 2 years? Seriously though, how much smoke are you getting? A lot with a little unburnt fuel? Or very little? What's are your temps doing? A little more info and we can help you out.
