I was trying to break in my engine, when all of a sudden when I start it the wheels spin like crazy! I inspect it, and the little thing on the side of the carb that connects to the servo with the rod that controls how much air the engine is getting is screwed up. When i try to close it by hand, i can feel a point at about midway where there it just stops. If I give it a little force, I can feel a "notch" of resistance, and then it closes all the way. Does anyone know whats causing his? There dont seem to be any visible problems.

just dissasemble the carb and check if dirt is binding it up (for some reason) or metal burrs and what not

I'm pretty sure its not dirt because I was only breaking in the engine by idling it. When I inspected the carb, I didnt see anything unusual. It seems like the slide just went bad all of a sudden in between one of my starts. Theres gotta be some logical explanation....I dont want to dissassemble the carb if I dont have to!

This happened to me also. Wether the engine is new or not, there could be debris anywhere in the assembly. It could be dust or debris from the manufacturing process. Or a part may actually be broken inside only to the point where it causes it to work only half-way. You need to get you assembly diagram and dissasemble the carb and give it a good once-over (or three times over).
