The problem is my engine shutters sometimes. Sometimes it idles great and sometimes it does the shuttering. It only does it at idle. It sounds like the clutch is engaging and disengaging really fast, but I don't think that's it because the wheels aren't spinning.
If I give it a little gas it'll go right away, but then come back sometimes if I let it sit and idle for a few seconds.
It's the Hyper .21 8 Port. I know people have said the stock carb sucks but could this be a cause of that?
Any suggestions?

Its perfectly normal. Whats happening is that your mill is 'loading up' with fuel. At idle, it will draw slightly more fuel than need be. As a result, when you punch the gas after sitting for a minute, it can either bog down for a second, or even stall completely. You can adjust the idle screw a hair to make it idle higher, but then you might have premature clutch engagement going on. At the track, this is how I ran it and just held the brake on at the line. This way I didnt get that bog.

Its normal.

Hmmm, thats exactly what my Hyper was doing before I put the OS carb on... Sort of sputtering when at an idle... Sounds like an airleak on the carb... Pull off the carb, & reseat it into the engine & tighten her back up... I have a thread just like this somewhere.... lol

If your going to pull the carb off to reseal, put some high temp sensor safe silicone around the neck before you put it back together. Then let it cure overnight.

I do this on all my engines right out of the box. I also seal the backplate and the high speed needle assembly the same way. It gets it out of the way for future problems.
