the nitro car is a kyosho fazer astra pureten.
can u help me plez.

If it goes 5 yards and stops, what happens when you walk up to it? Does it go another 5 yards?
If that's the case, it might be the failsafe kicking in to prevent a WOT runaway, or it's the throttle return spring taking it back to idle after signal loss.
First thing you do is recharge or change ALL the batteries in the Radio and receiver. If you still have the same problem, let us know and we'll go to the next step.

Well mate i will say it goes about 5 yards and then it starts to lose the signal. well iv had it on wednesday it was working fine only uesd it about 4 hours iv put durracell cells in the day i got it iv never changed them they sould last me longer then 4 hours so i dont think it the cell. sorry if a made eny spelling mustakes I'm still in school

ya,sounds like the batteries. good thing it has the failsafe or return spring.4 hours of running will drain the batteries.

4 hours on the receiver batteries will pretty much run them down, especially when it's new and your messing with the controls and moving the servos, whether the car is running or not.
Change the batteries in the receiver.

stupid problems I'm starting to hate my rc car.

hi guy got a new problem iv fixed the signal problem. the problem is that my car will not stop when i controll it to stop. it will just go a littel solwer. plezz helpp

stupid problems I'm starting to hate my rc car.

if you let off the throttle and let it roll will it come to a stop or keep going

Dig out your manual and get familiar with all the adjustments. It sounds like it's idling too high, and the brake is not adjusted properly. These things don't automatically do what you want them to, they need to be mechanically set.

I know it's easy to get frustrated with RC's, but the problems that you are having seem to be fairly minor, and that's a good thing. It's takes some work to keep an RC going, and that's why most people enjoy them the way they do. So if you understand that it's going to take a small amount of work to keep it in pristine shape, after you fix a few problems you will start to understand how the car works and why it does what it does, and then you will be able to diagnose and fix problems much quicker, and you can really enjoy the RC. I hope you will enjoy the positive side of the RC enough to really see what RC's are all about and not let the first few frustrating days turn you off from RC's. A tip that will save a lot of money, instead of regular AA batteries, try the rechargable kind. They're only a lil more expensive than regular batteries, and you can use them like a thousand times.
