People who are convicted of these crimes should have their rights of privacy stripped away....but I won't ever depend on the local authorities to defend my family. I teach my kid to be aware of what's going on around her...maybe I am robbing her of the childhood fun that most of us had when we were younger, but times are definately different.....I have also taught her how to defend herself as best as she can, this is something EVERY parent should be teaching their children..It's funny to see my friends laugh when she tries to look tough, but she can drop most men under 200 lbs to their knees and she's only 65lbs...I'm screwed when she gets bigger.....she started Aikido classes this last summer and is pretty good...I recomend self defense for all our childrens sake...not only is it physically rewarding but mentally too....when she is older I hope to take her to wing chun w/ me....I am disgusted that people do things like this to others,
but only God can save their souls if I catch them.......

I am in complete support of parents teaching their children martial arts and self defense, for both personal discipline, self respect, physical fitness, and self awareness, but I also hope you teach your child good sense of judgment. They need to know when to fight and know when to run. The martial arts can definitely help you get into a position so you can run and get help. But if a predator has a gun or there is more than one person, I would think the child is better off trying to flee than to stand and fight.

yeah I had to explain to her that if she ever hit anybody they'd better deserve it......cause she hurts......I have a very responsible 7 yr old lil girl......I try and teach her that fighting isn't always the way out of a situation....that has been my lesson to learn since having her....No more arguing over stupid issues with strangers......one day my daughter saw me get into an argument w/ someone acting stupid and the guy got in my face, I just smiled and gritted my teethand walked away she said "daddy you coud have beat him"...I looked at her and said "but I can choose to just let it go".........

With the recent news about Jessica Marie Lunsford in FL that was kidnapped and killed by a sex offender that lived just across the street from her, I feel it's a good time to have this info back to the top.

I find it absolutely repulsive that anyone finds a child sexually appealing in any manner and I hope those people get what they have coming.

At any rate I hope those that have kids find this information useful at keeping your children safe.

this topic is a bit odd for me to deal w/....that search engine goes against everything that the "justice system" should be doing....I mean if we are really trying to rehabilitate people when they serve their sentence then we should be able to let them again become productive members of society after their debt has been payed.....this site will serve to keep us (the public) informed of fiddlesticked up things people have done....and in turn these people will never be able to become a productice member of society...NOW being a parent I feel I should be able to protect my child from scum like this so I am being biased in my feelings of wanting to know.....but I see there is no real distinction of crime w/ this site.....I came across one that looked fishy where the guy was very young and the charges were not clear....was he arrested because some girls mother found out her 15year old daughter was sleeping w an 18 year old boy adn knew she could have him arrested????? If these peoples lives are on display to begin w/ then we should be able to get all the facts before someone goes off and hangs a man cause they saw him on this site.....I guess I just have some serious conflict about these criminal sites...if they are truly bad people then yes fry their asses.....if they are caught in the legal system then I this could become a problem......this post is in no way meant to defend the scum BTW...I'm just playing devils advocate

While it's fun to play devils advocate I assure you, you would NOT be playing devils advocate if you where Jessica's father right now.

You make a valid point about these sites bringing up ones past and that if they went through the justice system then they paid their debt. The problem is these people don't get "healed" because they spent a few days, weeks, or months in jail/prision and paid a fine. This is very clear as John Evander Couey obviously went through the justice system in order to be registered on a sexual offender list, so really what good did it do?

As a parent myself I find it very disturbing these people are let back into our neighborhoods with any warning and they you are responsible for finding out they are there. What happened to Jessica just bothers me. I myself probably couldn't deal with and would shoot the SOB myself right in front of everyone and do my time if a jury would convict me. The site for IN Sex Offenders posts their last registered address and last known workplace but I don't think they are required to update the info but every two years. I live in an area outside of the city that is booming with new housing developments and much to my disliking a new apartment complex so I check all the time to make sure I don't have any new neighbors.

okay devils advocate was a poor choice of words.....I was more trying to be fair to the idea that we have a "justice" system although we all know that's turned to crap.....and I don't really think it was fun.....you do have a point I would be very upset about someone liek that being near my daughter but I also accept that while she is unable to deffend herself it is MY responsibility to make sure she is safe......and I think these sites are another step of people trying to ask the gov. to protect everyone at all times and alleviate the responsibility of individuals.....when did it become the gov. responsibillity to protect us from ourselves.....I know someone will say they are protecting us from the child molesters but I see it as we are trying to place blame on the gov for not protecting our children.....we as parents need to ensure they are safe not deppend on some agency where people come in and collect their paychecks.......I say if any person tries to harm my kid...it is MY duty to handle it..I should be there for her......I can only hope as she gets older I have taught her enough about the world to where she is aware of these things (violent people) and can use her head and her body to defend herself...running is always a good start for a kid to learn......scream fire.....we can't be omniscient about it but I dn't know if I wan to trust a gov. agency to be either.......I hope everybody doesn't start attacking me over my opinion because I don't bash anyone for theirs

Believe it or not, this crime is not really about sex, but it's about power. Likewise for rape. These repulsive perverts are cowards, unable to deal on a normal level, and by overpowering their victim for sexual purposes, they don't face rejection. This type of criminal is also the ONLY type that can not be rehabilitated back into normal society without castration, and so far, our legal system won't allow it.

if that's what it takes then I'm for it.....I just have a problem w/ the 2 faced crap we get spoon fed by the powers that be about how they try to make our society a better place.....it's all about money and if you don't have it they want to run you through a system and keep some stupid file on you for future use....I am dealing w/ this 1984 crap right now in todays court system and it scares the poop out of me that I am being treated the way I am in court based on a few words in some document.....I hate it and I think it shows us what is to come in the not so distant future....

i actualy had kind of a run in myself i was like 8 or 9 and siting at a bus stop to ride back to my house from a friends and a car pulled up a 40ish man was driving and said he would drive me to the bus stop i would be getting off at, it was a block or two before he non chalanty put his hand on my knee / inner thigh i pulled away aginst my door grabing the handle i said let me out & thankfuly he did ..i have a chill (and anger) now thinking about this again
