Help plz

I'm just getting into this and I was wondering if someone could help me out? I own a Nitro Rustler. It's not new A friend bought it for me I had a new engine put on it. He broke it in and all that. But nto all the way I had to run 4 tanks of gas through it. Well I have ran about 5 or 6 and I can't get it to maximum speed (I just want to see how fast it goes) But I can't even get it to mid way and it dies. I dont know if its flooding or not getting enough gas?? I read some books on it but just didnt get it. I down all of it and it still doesn't work? Could some one help me thanks. sound like you are running lean if you can ;t get full trottle without dying. Lets get the type of engine first and your settings as of now. Then we will talk. Oh yeah is your fuel new and your plug too?

On break in you not suposed to be running it full throttle. You should be running it only at like quarter throttle. Whats happen is that you are pretty much drowneding the engine. It is getting to much gas and it is shutting off. So finish those tanks a quarter throttle and then see if you friend will tune it for you or take it to your local hobby shop and have them do it.......Nick

According to Traxxas after 6 tanks they are considered ready for tuning for speed. Again state the type engine it is and the settings.We'll talk then

Ighit no problem thanks for the info and stuff the engine is O.S. Max thats all it says.....
