Junk ignitors lead to more problems than you think. Do it right the first time and never worry again, buy a Hot Shot Ignitor. Ditch the stupid E Z Start, put a pull start in its place, cowboy up and gain some extra HP and lose some weight. Use the stock Traxxas plug, TRA3232X I believe, plug the stinger with your finger to prime, yank the cord a few times then remove said finger, yank a couple more times and she'll fire right up. Turn the high speed needle in 12th turns (1/12) like a clock is numbered. The rest is up to you to figure out. Even with a blown Sirio .18 TX engine, I could always start it using this method.

okay ya first get a real glow plug starter from tower hobbies or where ever. second if the EZ start is not able to turn the engine over its flooding. what you can do is clear out the engine or you can manually turn over the engine with a screw driver to get some extra leverage if needed. When I got my 3.3 engine over christmas it took a bit to get going when i first started it.
Hopefully you can figure this out

i orderd a glow ignitor itll b here in a week i can't find a pull start for it can any one give me a link

thank all of you for your help IT STARTED!!!!!! woop woop I'm so happy

at this point giving you a link is not needed, it's a super easy search. go to traxxas,or ebay and type it out. you will have a lot of satestfaction (can't spell, but trying) doing this for yourself is half of the fun. i purchase a lot of stuff from "rc bozs" online and they have a decent comunication set up with there customers, maybe you should spend some time reading back threads and post on these forums at rcnt, i thought i new quite alot about rc's and support gear until i signed up here (i know nothing!) when you post , take your time and give out the details, your not waiting our time with a long post that we have read. ask me if i feel bad about this one? anyways, enjoy, have fun and be patient-my two cents

Yes, 3.3 factory settings are a little rich for the recommended break in period but i would leave them a little rich at first but manageable and will tune nicely according to break in procedure. The heat cycling method described by traxxas, although perhaps a little confusing to some at first, is the most sound procedure i've read so far. I used it on my 3.3 except may not have used a "full" tank as a tank of fuel per directions. As far as turning over a flooded engine with a screwdriver to clear it...make sure that glow plug is out first and are turning in the direction of rotation and not against directional clutch (one way bearing). If you get in there and start prying a motor over with fuel pinched in the head...well let's just say that pressure is going to release somewhere and probably not the exhaust. If you can't turn that flywheel with a finger, then don't turn it. Something probably needs a closer look.

just pull out the glow plug turn the rig upside down and spin it over, when you spin your fly wheel make sure your spinning it counter clockwise, and wile your doing this make note of bdc and mark your fly wheel
