Do you have $500 to get EVERYTHING needed to race? Or just a chassis to drive?

If you need EVERYTHING, I would suggest you save up another $200-$300 and just buy the Losi 8ight-T RTR package. Add fuel and go pretty much.

If it's just for a chassis, you have a lot of options as most Truggy kits can be had under $500. I currently run a Hot Bodies D8T, and while I don't have a ton of time behind the wheel of it (ran XRay last season) it's very stable so far and every bit as fast as my XRay so far. Those kits are under $350 brand new, without engine/servos/electronics etc etc etc.

You can buy used setups easily for under $500 if that is your absolute maximum though.

So give us some more info....

yeah I'm kinda on a budget of just $500.... i want somthing thts ready to run and will atleast let me keep up with a few ppl out there cause like i said I'm new at racing.

Being new, your best bet is to buy a used setup and just get out there. Even if it's a slightly older model with a slower engine. Just being out there will help you a LOT. If you drop $1500 on a rig now, you won't be any faster than if you drop $500 on a used one anyway.

I would look into the older XRay XT8 Truggy (08 Spec), the Jammin X1, or maybe a Losi 1.0 Truggy. They can all be had pretty cheap, and are still competitive for sure.
