RC Driving Style
  1. Bashing
Ok help me out. What do I get. Revo 3.3, LST XXL, Savage 4.6, Savage XL 5.9, Hpi Hellfire or LST 2. Which one is best for jumping, bashing and street driving?
Whats bad about the other ones? Any answers are welcome.
ye

Go for either of the Savages if you plan on bashing. The Hellfire and the Revo would be good for racing, and I believe the 2 Losi trucks would be pretty bashers too.

i would get the lst 2 but if your doing big air jumps get the savage x 4.6.the revo 3.3 is also good. i would go fo the savage x 4.6 or savage xl(get the savage xl if your experinced)

Don't get TRAXXAS they their customer support is s#%# and their products are weak and fragile. GO SAVAGE.

While I can't speak about the customer service, I have never called them. I have a different opinion about they're products being weak and fragile. Atleast In my current case. I've yet to break any vital part on my slayer. Aside from an Engine mount.

I've heard very good things about the Savage quite the machine they are, though my Traxxas bias side would say Grab a Revo, or if you want a really durable closed wheel truck grab a Slayer.

Cheers

savage all the way i can flip mine wot all day and not land on the wheels (my bad driving) lol i have not broken any thing yet. I had a t-maxx and it would break all the time but then again my bad driving lol so i can really say no on traxxas

Yeah personally I've only toyed with my Slayer and have seen it flip and cartwheel more times then an Olympic gymnast and have yet to break anything. The only problem I had was hitting a jump weird and having it flip and land a 6 foot drop onto its cooling head, (Destroyed Engine Mount). So I can only vouch for the one Traxxas product.

Though from word around town, the savage is a fool proof choice.

i was in the same situation about a month ago and i looked around for info on a bunch of trucks, really just for bashing, and there is a hobby shop about 30 min from me and the guy wanted to sell me a t-maxx. he was really trying to make the sell, but i opted for the savage x from tower hobbies. i havent regreted it yet, very awesome, lots of power, very fast, durable, i have only broken the rear diff. gear. it broke because i had never made an rc do a backflip off of a ramp and i did it with the savage and after a couple of bad landings the gearings finally broke. after a quick fix its awesome. i recommend the savage x.

I've always been a fan of the Losi trucks (without ever driving one), but I recently got a Traxxas Summit which has the same type of suspension as a Revo. I like it a lot. I've only had to talk to Traxxas customer service once and they hooked me up right due to a common part flaw.

The Revo is a good choice IMHO, Bash it, Race it whatever and it comes back for more.

My 2.5 has seen action i wouldnt even THINK of putting my buggy through, including eating wall face first at WOT, cartwheeling 27 times without breaking a single part, backflips, forward flips etc etc. Never have i broken a part.

And now, i'm in the process of rebuilding a 3.3 for some SERIOUS fun.

On the other hand, i have a HPI E-Savage. First time out rear diff gears shatter. sorted that and runs like a champ. Only problem there though is the savage is top heavy and prone to easy rolling due to the high CofG, which is where the revo overcomes the savage.

Overall ? depending on choice, Either the revo or savage would be perfect. can't speak for the other trucks, but the revo or savage would be my choice, leaning towards the revo for more option on racing and faster off road bashing and more stability.
