RC Driving Style
Well it's time to move on from a road car to a nitro truck.

I've currently got an RS4 type 3 SS with about 500$ of aftermarket parts. I just wish I could go off road with it :p

So, here is what I'm looking for in a truck:

-Price range: <700$ to have a running driving truck
-Does not have to be RTR can be a kit or RTR doesn't matter.
-Must be nitro
-Reverse not needed
-Prefer 2 speed tranny or 3
-I want somthing fast like my RS4
-MUST BE DURABLE out of the box. The RS4 broke a part almost every day of running. (mainly caused by my buddy with a revo hitting me). But still it wasn't a very durable car at all. I want somthing I can jump (small jumps, like 6ft of air tops) and that will not break easily.
-4wd is not necessairy, but would be nice
-1/10 or 1/8 doesn't really matter
-I want somthing that has lots of aftermarket parts which are readibly available. I don't what to have to wait a week for a cheap part, I want it NOW :P

I don't know if I should get a buggy, stadium truck, truggy or a monster truck.
*Must be faster than my buddy's stock Revo :)
I will not be racing it. It will be mainly just for messing around.

Some ideas I have in my head:
Jato
Savage
T-maxx (I've got a guy who what's to trade his hopped up maxx for my RS4)

Any other suggestions?

I would say a savage 4.6. But if your willing to sacrafice the extra ground clearnce, which it sounds like you are because you said 1/10 2wd. I would go with the mayhem.

Sportwerks makes the Mayhem.

I would suggest a 1/8th buggy, which the Mayhem is. From what I hear the Mayhem is a very good choice.

The Mayhem is scary fast. I'm still not done breaking mine in and it's killing me! 1/8 scale buggies are the rockets of off-road. They have huge engines. Low slung. The Mayhem will get close to 50 mph out of the box. At least that's what Horizon says (so don't go throwing stats at me). The only real concession you make with a buggy vs. a monster truck is ground clearance. The trucks are higher and able to traverse more radical terrain. But they're heavier and slower.
So just do like most of us do. Buy a monster truck AND a buggy!!!!

Where can Mayhem's be bought online? I don't think either of my LHS carry Sportwerks.

Any other suggestions?

My LHS has X-TERMINATOR DELUXES. how do these compare to the Mayhem?

I don't know how they compare, but the X-Ts are great buggies. They will not handle quite as good as some other more expensive buggies but the 24.7 engine is a great engine. It comes with all sorts of great hop ups and it would be a good option, expecially if your LHS has parts for it.

The Revo!!! It is durable and tons of hop ups are available for it now! Totally race ready, or a bash king.

The Mayhem can be bought here as well as hop ups and replacement parts for it.
