i is lookin to upgrade my tmaxx to a .21 or biger
i need help deciding what engine and conversion kit

could some one who has done this before plese help:transform

when i did mine, i went and got the XTM .21 conversion kit with the XTM 24.7 engine. great kit and engine. the only problem i ran into was that they cvd's that come with the conversion kit are CRAP!!! they do not work too good. so u might try another kit like dynamite. it is almost the same thing except it comes with the good dynamite cvd's

bryan

u said the xtm 24.7 engine but what one there r 2 diffrent shafts?:\

Yeah the xtm kit is great except for the cvds. hey maxx97 found some better cvds they are made by gpm totaly different setup no cups there great.

Yup thats them there just about indistructable. yeah excuse my language but the xtm shafts are well I whish I could say it:naughty:

well thx 4 the he4lp i decided to go with that sirio 3.0 tmaxx engine since it drops right in 2 the maxx i hope doesn't it?
i have an older maxx with the pro .15 but ie read that the sirio fits and its not that expensive any coments on my decision would be welcomed!

on everyones XTM cvd's that are breaking are you breaking the pins on the dogbone pin side, the cvd pin side, or the shaft itself? if you are breaking the pin on the cvd side (the pin which can be rebuilt from xtm's parts) i found this fix that i got from someone on a different forum, I'm sorry i can't remember his name or what forum it was from if your reading this. take a titanium drill bit, #39 fits the best, stick the shaft part of the drill bit into your cvd shaft and coupler and cut to lenghth. thats the part i always broke on my xtm cvd's, and after this fix i have yet to break another cvd. the xtm cvd pins have a groove cut into them to fit the set screw, this is the inherit desighn weakness..I've found the drill bit shaft hold fine without the groove. you can get a titanium bit for about 3$, and make about 3 cvd pins...peace---

:OT: :j/k: but any way, any one do a sirio conversion?
is it hard I'm real close 2 haven enough money

not hard at all....you do nothing more than take the stock motor off, put the sirio in its place. of course theres a few things to do like move the flywheel/clutch assembly from the stock motor to the sirio, install the carb, and put the easy start on the sirio, which is all very easy. if you feel confidant you can take your stock motor off and put it back on thats all your basicaly doing.

hey i got the money now I'm gonna ask my LHS to order 1 for me
:fro:
