Heavy lifting has a tendency to cause problems anyway... regardless if you use roids or not. Granted, roids add quite a few other problems.
I used to be a power lifter in high school. We were a small school and didn't have gymnastics or wrestling. I got set on fire when I was in 7th grade and wasn't able to go out for football until I was a senior. I was in the gym every morning throughout every school year from grades 7-12 then I went out for football... that was a fun year. But I totally blew a knee, shoulder and elbow.
12 years later and I still have to throw sidearm (blown shoulder) and I have sore knees, elbows, shoulders and back whenever it's humid. Apparently, as with anything, moderation should be your goal...
