One of my friends is sadly getting out of the hobby due to a blown motor. Some lhs guy told him he needed to run his 25 tmaxx at 350° to keep it running properly (i'm still trying to figure that one out) long story short he would not listen to me or anyone about his temps so no more motor. I bought some Of the good parts off his truck one of them being his complete front end. when i was looking it over i noticed his shocks are stagered rear side upper mount is all the way out towards the tires the lower mount is all the way to the center. Front side upper is all the way in towards the center and the lower is out towards the tires. Has anyone ever seen this or done it to their rigs? And what should i expect of this setup or should i just change it back?

Thanks in advance

Someone wasn't paying attention when they set it up. Each side should be in the same position as the opposite side or it will respond differently when turning left or right.

That shock setup is hard on some of the shocks too. When you jump the truck you'll have only one shock on each corner stopping the suspension from topping out.

If you did it the same on both sides, it would give you a stiffness that was in between the shocks (if they were the same rate spring). Having the top/bottom further out at the same time makes the shock feel stiffer while the shock all the way in is softer. So, it would be fairly similar to running both in the middle... which on a t-maxx would do as 2rev1maxx suggests, help keep the shocks from ripping one apart.

My guess is that it's a mistake and no, I've never setup an 8 shock truck that way.

Thanks guys... So really i should change them to my setup that i normally run and not risk damaging the new front end...
