I just ordered a K5.9 for $200US brand new and I can't wait to slap it in my Savage X. I currently have the F4.1 engine and can't wait to see what this thing will act like.

Has anyone put a k5.9 in their Savage X 4.1's or 4.6's? If so how bad is it!!!

lol, i didnt but i can't wait till mine goes too. Hey how many gallons did u get through u 4.1?

i personally havent but my buddy i bash with replaced his k4.6 and man ill tell you what. the k5.9 is a bad a$$ mill. wait till you drop it in and break it in and you will see what iam talking about.
let us know what you thinkk when you get it

oh yeah, I can't wait.

My 4.1 is still running strong and I have about 10Gal through it. It will be a good spare.

I had thought about the 5.9, but my LRP breaks enough stuff already....I can't imagine how many more center CVDs I would go though with that thing.

where is the cheapest place to buy the 5.9? I know the engine replacement progrm from HPI is crap cuz its still cheaper on ebay.
Is ebay the cheapeasT?

I have pretty much shopped all over for mine and watched ebay listings for about 3 weeks, they all seem to go for around $200US plus $10 or so for shipping. I missed a few bids a couple weeks back they went for $180-$200 then I found one with a "buy it now" price of $189 so I snatched it up. The engine is listed at around $260 at any hobby shop in Canada or any website I have checked.

So yeah I would definitely go with ebay, theres a couple on there now for around $180, bid is up in 8hrs!
