Here are some pics of the completed shell of my VTA Car that I've been building. It's based on the Donahue/Penske '71 Javelin.

It really should stand out on the track since it's the only Javelin that I've seen and because of its paint scheme.

The wheels are on their way and should be here this weekend. I'll be doing some more work on it this weekend so cutting the posts shouldn't be a problem.

Looks great Hamz! I REALLY miss my 73 AMX, I have regretted selling it for years. I always loved the Donahue paint scheme, and have been wanting to pick up one of these bodies for a while now for my RS4 3.

Nice, very patriotic

Thanx, guys. I saw the shell and had to get it. I did some research and saw the Donahue/Penske TA Javelin and well, it just stuck.

Just last night I saw that car in the background of a car show. I think it was "Chasing Cars". It was parked a ways back on the lot and only on screen for a couple of seconds, but it was INSTANTLY recognizable.

I don't think I can lose it on the track either. It's a lot more colorful than the Mustangs and Camaros at my local track.
