Whats up Guys, Well i wanted to make a thread to all of the guitarists here on RCNT. Like myself. I've been playing for a while now. I'm probably one of the biggest guns n roses fan in my age catogory, lol. When i get a job and my XRAY XB8, HEHE, I am going to save up for a Slash Edition Les Paul, Not Epiphone, Gibson! Well i just wanted to see who plays guitar, so we can discuss our skill. This summer, I am working on starting a band. Grundge, Metal, Alternitive, Classical Rock tunes. All the cool stuff. Later!!

-SR :arrr:

i will never give up to play the paradise city 1st solo by slash LOL, its so freakin hard, you have no idea, guys that know this stuff, help me out! haha, i dont have the 17 years to wait to learn how to play!

does the tissue bot wiht a p[aper towel roll out the top and a few rubber bands count as a guitar? i used to pay back in 3rd grade nothing too big though. on the serious note I've wanted a guitar but hearing about how they cost a good 200 i fugured i would settle for another hobby or art.good luck in your adventure.

Hey guys,

I too play the Guitar, but am still in the beginner stage I would say, maybe a little beyond that.

Anyway, I have a Ibanez GAX-70. I've been taking lessons for a little less than a year, so I guess I am beyond beginner lol.

I like to play Linkin Park mostly, sometimes some Godsmack or Nickleback, stuff like that :)

Oh, and sweet collection msly!

I have a Shecter XXX Series, Very nice guitar, Ladies on the frets too ;)

This is a little ironic. I always wanted to play and I had a choice of a bass or my nitro Rustler. I went RC. I would still love to get one and learn to play, but there are only 24 hrs in a day.

I used to play when I was younger, mostly metal. I had a Gibson SG, a Gibson V-2, a Kramer Voyager, and a Fender Strat. I have not played in quite a few years.

That Telecaster has to be the jewel of your collection. What's it worth today?

I currently have 2 electronic keyboards that I'm addicted to. (my winter addiction, when I can't run R/C)

In my younger days I was into guitars, and have quite a collection, but I can't seem to locate them. Anyone have any tips for finding 'air' guitars?
Here's a photo of my favorite one.

When I was younger, I was one of those "Metal Heads", hair down to my waist, that always wanted to play an instrument....... Unfortunately, I dont have a bit of musical talent in me.... lol That's fine though, cause I would just hang back stage and let the chicks play with my hair.... They love that poop.... lol

I have been playing bass for about 4 years now. My friend's dad helped me get it, sadly he died 2 years later from cancer.

LOL! yeah, so I bought an Ibanez about 3 years ago or so and thought I'd take it up cuz my best friend was learnin bass but I just never really got around to it. Now I simply don't have the time or urge to so it just sits there lookin pretty... freakin brand new, amp too. Pitiful... if it wouldn't cost so much to ship I'd sell it. Thought a friend of mine was gonna buy it all from me but I havn't heard from him in a while.

Svenz... I'm from the Lorain/Elyria area. i'd be more than happy to bring it to ya if
you're interested

Yea I really like the Tele.... it has tons of attitude and just has the warm feeling you only can get from a 30 year old guitar. It is my favorite playing guitar..... I crank it through a Fender Bassman head without any effects it gives you that great Black Crowes sound.... or that Joe Walsh James Gang sound.....

I will chime in and admit I "play". Sort of. I used to play a lot in my teens and early 20's. It's been a while since I've played seriously. Probably because I'm not all that good. Pretty much self-taught and play by ear. Right now I'm down to 2 guitars. A Charvel 475 and an Ovation electric/acoustic. But they spend a fair amount of time resting....

Wow, It sounds like you had quite a very nice collection.

I tought myself, Played by ear, Tuned by ear, Recently i bought a KORG. Good little gadget to help me out a little when i need a hard tune. I like to play mostly metal, I make up my own beats, Write down the frets. Lately I've been very determined to hit high notes like Slash of Guns N Roses, But you guys that know of him, Know that it took him a long time to master that. I am just being a weirdo and trying haha. Frustrating!

BTW Nice Air Guitar Rolex. haha

But overall guitar is awesome, It makes you feel good when you nail a nice song. Great sound's and especially the fact that you are doing it. I hope in the next years i'll get to be very good, I'm pretty good now. I could do better.

I'll include some sound bites later on in the year. Show my progress. I hope the band deal comes out well... I think it would be cool, Then put on a show at my High School.

Thanks for all the replys guys! Keep them coming if you want to chat about gear or such.

Take it easy all,

Thats cool Lessen, if i hadn't bought my Savage SS I would have considered it. We'll have to get together and bash sometime.
