guess its a good time to see about rpm's lifetime warranty...

If they approve it and send you a new set of arms that is profit away from their bottom line. They are going to have to make up for that profit some how and that will mean a higher cost for future products.

!

Seriously, it's about a buck for them and it gives them kudos for customer support. Good customer support reviews, more customers, more parts sold.

You really need to take a break and come back in a better mood.

I haven't or will say one negative thing about rpm in their decision on my broken a arms. Their parts are great and helluva lot better than the stock Traxxas parts. They don't have to offer any warranty for a great part. I'm not bitching or complaining to them about how the part shouldn't of broke at such low speeds and bumping into my tire regardless of how cold it was and demanding free stuff...

I'll send them the broken parts. They will evaluate and can decide
.. then take my broken arms toss them into the molten plastic injector and make new ones...

I wish I could of just order the upper arms since I don't need lowers so they made a few extra bucks selling me something I don't need...

I also should see if I can get Traxxas to send me a new pushrods and axle carrier:D
They need an excuse to jack their prices up anyways:hehe:

Not to go off topic, but this isn't the first time I tried to get a replacement part. My son had this new tyco airhog plane. Broke a propeller right off the bat. I called tycoon rc about getting a replacement propeller the guy gives me his email and wants me to send a pic of the broken wing... I was like OK... but its the propeller... I send a pic of the propeller and he emails me back saying he needs a pic of a broken wing. I email him again saying its the propeller I need replaced that's it... I figure he's not from around here so may be some miscommunication... well he emails me back telling me to break the wing off and send a pic and they will send a new plane.... so I complied and my son got a new plane.

I thought that was some extreme customer service right there....

Going even further off topic I know, but I gotta say it..... I wish this worked for nitro engines.....I can see it now

Me- "hey traxxas my 3.3 just split a con rod and now my motor is shot"

Traxxas CS- "Send me a picture of the cracked crank case that happened during break in"

ME- "no not the case but the con rod split during normal operation."

Traxxas CS- "Hit the thing with a damned hammer and send me a picture of it. We will send you a new engine."

How great would that be. Sorry to go even further off topic but I HAD to do it....lol

Also let it be know that I am a traxxas fan and I do use their engines/products but just found this appropriate...:-P

I've busted a few on my revo in the summer when bashing. Oddly, both times was a rear one and was from casing a jump really hard. Also in both cases, the arm flexed so far that my axle broke too.

Considering how long they last and how few I've broken, I don't bother with the warranty, I just buy new ones and move on.

well I never sent em off... its past the point where ill probably never will.... got a new set for each side.

took it out today and hit my Durango again. this time at full speed! left front tire of the revo hit the tire of the Durango causing it to flip and cartwheel for 20 feet in the street. this time nothing broke. not even the stock traxxas a arms I have on it. same temp out. mid 30's.

crazy how selective carnage is....
