Well here it is, the start of my stadium racer-basher-bling build. These are all the parts I have bought so far along with my trucks chassie. Tomarrow, I'm going to another hobby shop to find a team pipe and header, spectrum rx, and team chassie to support the new power the .18 will be putting out. I'm so stoked on this one. The mill just sitting in the truck looks massive, my dad walked in and saw it sitting in the truck and said where the old little one lol. I can't wait to get this sucker running. Heres the pics of what I got so far!

Associated, camber links, wheel nuts, shock caps, and chassie brace
RPM everything
OS .18cvr
Bad horsie shock covers
and a few other little do-dads.
Ill get more pics up tomarrow when I get the other stuff and start mounting it all up. Thanks for looking. Any sujestions on what else you see I may need dont be afraid to say lol. Also if anyone knows of a really good pipe let me know, I'm still in the air on that one. Thanks again.

Fixed the pics. I'm heading to the hobby shop as soon as I get done fixing my truck. I think I'm going to scratch the idea of the team chassie for now and look into a pipe instead.

Well today I went to the hobby shop and bought a few little things. While bs'in with a guy, I told him how I really wanted a hard coated pipe for this sucker. He enlightened me to the team losi hard coated, adam drake edition pipe. I was pretty stoked, and bought the pipe and header. I also bought a reciver to work with my dx3. Today I pretty much could have completed this build but I hit a few snags. The OS needs the associated clutch nut which I realized after taking apart the stocker engine, which I thought would have had one. Then dedede me didnt check clearences on the new pipe and header, and the frigin header dosent fit at all on this engine. So there was 14 bucks down the drain, but I think I can make the pipe work with the sock header, it just wont look as clean looking. I'm kind of bummed, but oh well you can't have everything perfect I guess. Ill get pics up tomarrow after I take another quick trip to another hobby shop and pick up some more little things like the clutch nut. So lesson learned today, before opening the package, do a quick mock up line up. lol.

Well I finsished it up the other night. Buttoned up all the little ends and outs. I still can't get wot because I need a even bigger horn, but ill save that for next weekend, when I get a better servo also. The last thing to do is mount up the wheels, and adjust the camber, and toe. I think it looks pretty good. I ended up not going with the losi pipe, it just didnt look right without the header. I got the look I was going for for the most part. I'm going to be painting a new body for it soon that will match my revo body, just with the colors mixed up a little. Here are a couple of pics. I hope this sucker pulls wheelies like madd, because I have a really cool wheelie bar idea I want to build if needed.

I found the wheeles I want eventually, and I'm going to get a set of panther paddles pretty soon also. I was screwing around in the local hobby people diggin threw there bargin bin, and found a set of proline paddles, but they dont have a deep enought paddle for me. I also found a 2 set of proline pro form foams for 40 series for 3 bucks, and a proline steering arm for a revo for 6 bucks. I might have to go back and dig threw that sucker a little more to try to find some more good stuff. lol.

Very nice rig indeed!:bow::bow: how much did it all cost if I may ask? I have a GT2 also and would love to spec it out similar to yours. I think the only difference would be the mill. I'd have to check with the local track to find out what is legal ect.

I'd post more pics of mine but now i'm ashamed even to show any carnage pics

I got the truck for 140 so start there.

110 for the os,
about 90 bucks for all the team stuff,
50 bucks for the RPM stuff.

So around 390 (ish) not to bad. I feel like its a capable of any sort of bashing I will throw at it, and will scoot around a track. I tried to keep it cheep. There are still a few things I'm going to do down the line, Carbon fiber front and rear shock tower, and CF top plate, along with a vantage racing CF pipe. All will come in time though.

OH and a .12-.15 is race leagle. I was going to get a LRP.12 but for bashing I wanted more torque then rev's out of the engine.

Got any suggestions on a good factory replacement for racing? I run mostly clay oval, but would like to get into actual tack racing eventually. I just can't stick a good landing yet, lol.

I have heard good things about the lrp's if you can still find them. Nova has a new 10th scale mill out, but its a arm and a leg as usual. Might look into the dynamite platinum .12. It looks like the lrp and rev's about the same. I had a dynamite engine in a ntc3 I used to have and it was a pretty solid mill, the carb was iffy but the mill itself was great. Id say that would be your best bet for the money, and dynaite makes tuned pipes for there engines too which is a pluse.

Thanks Bryson, but I'm curious. Has anyone run the Novarossi CX12R2/N .12? I was originally thinking of this mill but I'm not 100% sold on it yet.

HOLY CRAP! Its all I can say right now. I'm verry impressed with this little truck. It frigin flys! This mill is so smooth, break in was a sinch! I just hate side exhaust, the bad horsie shock cover is about black now lol. I see some new tires in my near future though. I doubt these stocker will last the weekend with this mill. All in all, I think OS is a killer companny, if my picco ever craps out I may go back to a OS .21 tm for my revo.

Just did and it worked better. These tires are about bald now lol. This is sweet. I have always wanted a stadium truck ever since my buddy back in Jr. High let me drive his rustler. This sucker is insane in power and the temps havent toped 205 yet. The fule aconomy sucks though, it eats more nitro then my .26, and way more then my os.18 tm dose. Tomarrow Ill probally round off the tires. Then friday ill head over to my LHS and pic up a pair of proline road rages and a gallon of byrons.

Ok lesson its your turn now, you need to get a stadium truck! Fast and fun is what sums it up!

Yeah, I know. I've kinda been wanting one for some time... ever since the GT2 came out really. Maybe I'll get a big phat juicy raise/promotion at work and I'll build one just like yours. :D I've never been one to copy but that truck is just really nice to look at. I'd probably do without the shock covers but I really like the blue RPM stuff

I put the shock covers on there because I thought id be bashing it in the sand more or less, but this sucker is a blast to drive on the street. I'm still amazed by the motor, at tank 6 which I'm on now its just scary fast. I'm deffinatly getting some street tires on friday at this point. lol. Dont feel bad, about copping my ride I've done it before with beason's revo lol! Insperation is the root of all money spent in this hobby it seems! Espically after staring at Eddys orange Baja 5B some more, which has lit a huge fire under my butt! I think I'm going to try to get a vid of this sucker tomarrow though, put that tri-pod I won to use with the digital.

wheres the pics??? pretty sweet truck, done very well, have fun!!
and beat the crap out of it!

SOB I was out in front of my house screwing around for a minute just now. I start coming tward myself and hit it, only to relize I'm not giving it that much throttle. WTF. I scream like a little girl "NOOOOOOO" it hits the neighbors truck tire at WFO and the front end flys apart. I pulled a axle threw the hub, just clean threw. the camber is now way off and the pipe is all F-ed. I think what happen is the off switch got in the off position some how when I was driving it, and it shut off power to the rx. Dose that make sence. If a spectrum reciver looses power isnt it saposed to cut the engine like a fail safe, thats what I have always been told. Now I'm stuck, I just spent 60 bucks today on a gallon of nitro and some rear tires and am left high and dry till next week. Damn. I'm pissed. That switch is to tempremental if thats what happen. Or my reciver is fried after that battery incedent. What do you guys think could have happen. I'm going with the off switch, but I'm still stumped on the fail safe thing?

If the receiver loses power then the servos won't have power to do anything. This is where a throttle return spring would come into play.

The failsafe that is built into a spektrum Rx is designed to move the servos to a predetermined position in the event you lose signal (out of range/Lack of Tx power).

I have a return spring on there, What the heck Ill have to look into the positioning of that. It looks like if I got another little c clip I could repair the hub. But after further inspection, the exhaust hanger isnt just jacked, the whole header bent. that is a tough ass header to do that and not crack. I think I can bend it back, but I'm goning to have to check to make shure the impack didnt screw up the engine at all, internal pressure crack or something. What a chity day its turned out to be! One of those take 1 step forward then get kicked in the nads' and pushed 10 steps back.
