Now then........ Look at this monster, just about to be released by the German company FG, it's either 1/5 or 1/6 scale, but loos absolutely huge!!!

Powered by either a 23cc or 26cc Zenoah 2 stroke engine.

This is the Daddy surely................
In the first pic, look at the size of the mans hand next to the truck!?

That is certainly a monster amongst monsters.

The only problem I could see with it would be............ where on earth would I run it????? I have trouble finding places to blast my Truckzilla, never mind something that looks at least twice the size!

You could always tear up one of the Royal's yards and call it a runaway. :D

J/K

You may not be able to let her rip, but think of the rock climbing and other really extreme terrain you could run that thing on.

I think what I should do is buy one and then at least I'll know, nothing worse than getting old wondering how much fun I could have had!?

I've got a deposit on one (so to speak!) so will get the chance to buy one of the first ones that come from the factory, I reckon it'll be worth the longer drive to find somewhere to let it go.

Sounds cool. Post videos if you can. Would love to see that beast in action.

That is one big truck, I wonder what kind of coin you will have to lay out for that.

1100 Euros including radio gear is the price I was quoted. That's about 735 of our finest Great British Pounds.
Considering my Savage cost me easily more than that now I put the .46 Truckzilla kit on it than I reckon that the FG Monster is a bit of bargain.....

Latest news is though, when it is released it'll only be 2WD and only have 4 shocks fitted, the rest are upgrade parts, oh, and it's now delayed until around 2 months time

Ahhh...the hidden costs. Glad you found that out prior to purchase. What a kick in the jimmy that would have been if you discovered it after getting it home.

That thing is just too big. are you sure that you won't have to regester it to ride it on the road? do you have the specs for it? That would be one sweet ride!

Looks like I'll have to wait til August at the earliest now for one, what a truck though! I'll definitely be having one of those.......... I think what I'll do now is buy the Marder Race buggy and upgrade from there when the parts become available, think 1/6 scale is the way forward for me!
Heres the link to what seems to be one of FG's main retailers in Europe, just have a look around and look at some of the amazing engineering on some of the parts, I truly am astounded by the quality of the kit, not cheap, but then neither are some of the bits for the Savage and they seem to be made out of the cheapest materials possible! (GPM) If you look at the on road stuff that FG make, they have hydraulic disc brakes!

I don't think our Police would be too impressed to see one of those whizz past at 60+ mph on a public road.................................

And here's the nude pic for all those that like them!

Yes, there are 8 shocks on that pic.................
However it would seem that the production versions will have just 4, an extra 4 will be available as an upgrade.

Unless that pic is misleading, is the air filter in the rear??? Seems if that is the case that it would likely suck up a lot of exaust.

Ripping up the beach at Southport. You could charge a £1 a time giving rides to the kiddies.

Now then Mr Niggle..........

If I took one of these to Southport, I reckon it'd be gone in about 5 minutes! Mysteriously dissapeared into thin air.......... and I'm allowed to say that because I'm a Scouser!

What do you reckon to one of these then, I doubt I could break one, unless I tried very hard!

Have just had an email back from FG, the truck isn't likely to be available until September now, I think I'll buy a Marder buggy and then convert that, got the big scale bug now!

Alright soft-lad, no offence! :)

Put some hubcaps on it, they'll take those first! Or try New Brighton, it was deserted last time I went there.

A few of my bashing buddies have thrown in the towel with 1:8 buggies and bought Marders instead. They are cheaper to run in the long run. Nothing breaks, the 26cc big-bore upgrade kit (new piston, liner and head) only costs 50 quid and a pint of unleaded lasts all afternoon.

The entry level Marder (with engine) costs less than a Kanai kit without an engine.
