Damn Christian, I'm glad you brought that up because I was about to be VERY disappointed in my .26 and I pulled the needles out and there was more CRAP on those things than I have ever seen and once back together, well lets just say it has been a LONG time if ever my buggy was going that fast and at a cool 225 degrees. Thanks for the info.
 
:thumbup: Good deal! The idea stems from some old time veteran pilots at my LHS. They INSIST on taking apart the needle assemblies on ALL mills they buy. Its give you that extre piece of mind, and in some cases, performance/tuneability.
 
YEah, there was a time when quality control with most of the manufacturers was pretty crappy, and it was SOP to take the back plate off, pull the crank etc to check for metal shavings in the case. Talk about screwing up a new mill, that would do it. QC has gotten better, but I think the crap in the needle assembly is due to a lack of lube when the put them together. Lubed O's go in real easy, dry ones don't.
