Yeah right I was actually thinking of yours when I was out messing with mine, With a .21 that thing must be insane!!!! What does it do on pavement lay a patch of rubber for a block!!!

what i ment by bad bash planning is just as .21 said.. if i had a new truck comming in the mail that was suposed to be rtr i would have ingitors lined up, fuel bottle full, batterys charged or bought.. lol i guess I'm an impatient f*cker lol.. just bustin your nuts.. didnt mean anything by it.. i think me and digger had the same conversation about bad bash planning.. he bought parts to fix his savage and then went to go run it.. ignitor was dead.. then rotostart was dead.. then drill was dead then it was dark.. lol

I was tired the first time I read about the bad bashing planning,I defiently wasn't prepared. At least I was able to mess with it for a few, today is out because it sounds like a rain storm is on its way here . I know now you where just yanking my chain no problem I dont know what I was thinking not having my igniter charged :shrug: lmao

Major wootage. Check out the diff real well, used ones are notoriously loose or already burnt up. Easy to fix . . . just check it out.

Is there an easy way to check it or do I need to take it apart and actually check the gears? It all seems very tight, I dont thing the guy ran it much who had it before me, the pull start broke so he put it away, and the chassis has very little scratches on it......for now that is hehe

Actually, i hope to have mine running this weekend... I got my engine all back together with the pinched piston/sleeve... wow, feels like new... i can barely turn it over... Ill have to pull out the hair dryer and heat 'er up... Yeah man, this thing is fast!!! I couldnt believe my eyes when it took flight for the first time... I gotta set up the shocks again.. i got new shocks, i gotta transfer all my old shock stuff to the new bodies... I use a thick oil, maybe 70-80wt because it makes it handle better on the road... That big block is heavy. I'm gonna JB weld the rear diff together... it just keeps buring up, so its gonna be locked!

LOL nothing that crazy yet :devious: . And it would open a can of woop ass on my Maxx and I havent really opened it up yet either, just drove it across the yard a couple times, I'm working on both my son's electric rustlers so we might be able to all go out and do some bashing for the first time. I love stadium trucks lol that thing turns on a dime and does awesome dohnuts, I had to make it do that once when the throttle got stuck at wot lol and I was trying to kill the engine and touched the spur gear which is metal and it cut a nice little notch into my finger lmao! Its defiently the best B-Day present I have ever gotten

Thats cool man you should make a vid of that thing it sounds SICK!!!! Does it try to go up on a wheelie or just spin the hell out of them? Never thought of using Jb weld on the diff that should hold up for you lol that stuff is insane!
What kind of spring set up would you suggest for mine, I want to do some jumping and drive on loose dirt and grassy areas and some time on the street. Right now the springs are all very weak and the guy before me added a ton of spacers to make up for it. Also what are good shocks to upgrade to? Or are the stock ones good enough for just bashing? It has aluminum ones with blues springs in the back and red springs up front.

the stock shocks are fine for me. If they dont already have aluminum caps, i would suggest those, because the plastic ones pop off and make a mess. The red springs are the stiffest springs you can get.. blue is 2 steps down from red. I run all blue on my gt right now, but I'm switching back to all red and 80wt oil... I just bought the front and rear spring kits, which have like 5 different colors with all different rates... I've been needing the rear reds for a while... i gave those to my brother when i built his nitro rustler... i couldnt really suggest a good combo, because its been like 2 years since i had a small block on there... Maybe your springs are worn out... there are also different oils/pistons/spring combos... if you just pick up a bunch, try different combos...

Jesse, the best set up i've found for the wifes GT and my Ultima ST-R's is Associated Green springs on the rear and Blue springs up front with 35wt oil all the way around. I also found that Losi White springs on the rear and Pink springs up front work very good. (these are as close to the Associated spring rates as I could get with Losi springs) I use those combo's for racing and bashing.
