got my blitz tonite, and can't wait to run it this weekend. i am correct in assuming it is lipo ready out of the box?? eventually i want to go brushless, so if i could buy one battery for both now and later, could you guys recommend one. the brushless systems i am looking at is the castle creations mamba max pro 5700 system or the hpi flux 5700 system. any help would be great. thanks

The HPI Blitz is an awesome short course truck but sadly it's electronics are lacking at best in my opinion. The ESC is neither LiPo ready (no cutoff) nor waterproof.

You can't go wrong with the Castle setup. Congrats on the new rig.

yeah i went to the lhs today and found out the news about the poor electronics. i grabbed a NiMH to run it for now til i go brushless. i started looking at the novak 8.5 ballistic set up. any good? it hits my price point well at $165. theres just way to many options out there

If you're really wanting to run lipo "safely" right now you could always purchase a Novak Smart-Stop, they run about $25.00

no, lipo isnt a priority right now. i am more worried about narrowing down a brushless system that works well with the blitz and my budget that will make me competitive on the race track. (minus the driving skill of course)
