Well, I fell rerally ill last summer, and had to pawn some of my firearms to pay the rent (sucks when you're sick and can't work) Anyhow we're starting to catch up, and the first thing I did was get my little buddy back. I will be getting the rest of my firearms one per month until they are all safe at home. (never did pawn my daily carry)

Anyhow I keep this one around when I want to carry, but I really don't want it to be obvious, or I want it heavily concealed. I also like the fact that you can open the barrel, so they wife doesn't have to try to pry back the slide. Just pop one in the barrel, and off it goes :D Man this thing is tiny for a .32 auto.

Hey Lykan, Glad that your getting your Firearms back my man. I've shot those Beretta's in .22lr and .32auto. Nice little and reliable pistol that's easy to conceal. .32 auto has a 65% one shot stop effectivness based on the LEO surveys. The flip up barrel is nice as it's hard to rack the slide on that size gun for some women and men with large hands.

I hate pawnshops man but you can find good deals on firearms from time to time if you don't mind supporting scummy pawnshops.

I bought that beretta brand new for the wife, it's too loud for her with the short barrel, so I'm going to get her a longer barreled .380 (more quiet and accurate)

The pawn place I go to is a eally nice, clean place. They give a guy a fair amount, and the loans really don't cost too much. They also don't take your firearms if you come in a day or two late (most do)

I borrowed 1500.00 on most of my firearms (cept my daily carry). They allow me to go back and pick them up one at a time instead of paying the 1500 all at once. I have to pay the price of the gun, and $40 to re-write the loan it gives me 4 months to pcik one, or all of them up before I need to re-write the loan again.

You are right tho, 99% of the pawn shops I walked into I wouldn't dare trust with my weapons, let alone buy anything from them to support 'em.

Sounds like a good pawnshop. Most of the pawnshops are here would easily sell/keep your chit if you where two days late. Pawnshops prey on the weak(Drug addicts, persons desperate for money etc) and support thiefs(yeah they report all the stuff that's brought in to LEO but many stolen things go undiscovered).

Do you have a CCW license man? They passed it here not to long ago but you have to be 25 (my 25th b-days in August). I do it sometimes but I don't like carrying on an exposed holster and advertising to everyone that I have a gun.

Oh yeah? Did you get your tranny and chassis?

Hey ya NB, yeah I got a concealed carry permit. Here you can carry without one but it has to be holstered like you said for everyone to see. It's a catch-22 because if the officer wants to give you trouble he can write you for brandishing if it is visible.

What sparked me to carry is #1 it's my right, and these days rights are becoming a scarce breed.

Second, my family. We were at a local lake fishing below a 400 yard embankment / drop. We wer on a gravel road at the lakes edge when a boulder (about the size of a basketball) drops next to my chair. I look up to see three teenagers with rocks in their hands. I yelled up "hey man there's kids down here" (in a nice tone because everyone likes to roll rocks down hills). Anyhow they responded all in unison "F*&K YOU" and hailed a barrage of rocks down on us. Luckly no one was hit, and neither was the car.

From where I sat, there was nothing I could do. They stood up and laughed, we all got in the car. If they had choosen to keep on throwing those boulders one of my family (me wife and three kids) would have been picking the survivors brains off the grass on the lakes edge. I swore I would never EVER leave my family in such a dangerous situation. So now I carry every time I go out with my family.

BTW
No tranny or chassis yet, and thanks for sending that out before pay day

Isn't amazing how kids just don't know better anymore. Dumbasses.

My dad ruled our house with the bible in one hand and an iron fist in the other. One way or another, you were going to pay.

He's a pastor, so normally I just got a lengthy talking too. At least after I turned 16. Prior to that, it was the iron fist!

Lykan - Damn dude, we did some serious chit when we where kids but we would have NEVER contimplated doing something like that, that could easily kill or mame someone. The fact that they continued to do it after you shouted @ them is scarry. IMHO that kind of behavior would be better punished with a leather whip to the back then grounding and/or spanking. If I was in that situation I would have fired some warning shots, if that didn't work then I'd be shooting @ em. Some tactical Federal rubber buckshot or rubber slugs would have worked well in that situation.

Your correct about our "rights becoming a scarce breed" these days. Even the Republican Bush administration is Ambiguous and sketchy @ best when it comes to the founding fathers true intent of the 2nd Amendment.

Yes, it was scary when I saw the first boulder land and make a huge divot before rolling towards the lake my first words were get in the car NOW!

The second was "the hey kids down here"

I was lucky that the barrage of rocks they threw was a heat of the moment/off the hip idea. Otherwise they would have taken the time to throw some more boulders (scary poop)

After working in construction for 10 years or more I know what happens when a tiny cresent wrench or a stanley tape falls from above.. look out.

I had a Stanley tape fall of the top of a ladder, and hit me in the head, it knocked me out, and it was only a 12' ladder.

If if would have had my pistol I would have shot once in the air, if they didn't pack up or stop, I would a have started picking them off.

*edit* I don;t take chances with my wife or my kids lives

I am not able to carry a gun because I live in NYC. I have my 165lb Bullmastiff to protect my wife and children when were home.
But I feel that I would be more at ease out of the house with a hand gun just in case.
The only way that you can get a carry permit, is if you own a buisness, that you carry lots of cash, or a jewler, etc.
I worked nite shifts at work in some of the worst area's in NYC.
(South Bronx, Harlem ETC)
I have been Robbed and slashed with a razor knife during one outting at work, Robbed @ gun point another time, Jumped once by 4 guys for a cell phone when cell phones just came out, And attacked by 3 guys trying to rob me once again, and have scars to prove all of it. I feel that I should have been able to shoot these assholes, if given the opportunity. I was hospitalized every time except the gun point robbery. Oh! how can I forget that I got shot in the thigh when I was 16, at a beach party.
I have applied for a carry permit for work twice, and was denied.
I wasn't trying to out do your story, just venting that every American that is not a convicted criminal, should be able to carry.
Lykan, I'm very happy to hear you got away safely, with your wife and kids.

I got shot with birdshot for tresspassing a couple times... when Iowa farmers have signs that say "STAY OUT" they really mean it.

I was at least 100 yards out both times, but it still stung like an SOB... I guess they didn't want a hunter hunting on their land.

Ratzo - Damn dude. I'm I was you I wouldn't wanna leave the house without packing heat. I love NYC(their's no place like it) but they like to piss on the constitution as much as possible). NYC and the PRK-People's Rebulic are the worse when it comes to limiting private citizens guns rights. I'm sure you'd have no problem getting a permit if you belonged to the Elitist rich. I'm a very non-violent, non angry person but hearing stories like yours pisses me off to no end. FYI I've got a 175lb Fila Brasiliero bitch and you can say that I feel more then safe with her walking the premises but I still like to have both...dog and firearm.

Olds - I'm got a sign on my property in N. NM that reads in big bold letters. Private Shooting Range - KEEP OUT - Owner not responsible for injury or death from ricocheting bullets It's very effective and the only people I've seen on my land are their with permission from me for hunting, hiking etc.

:OMG: wow that is small and totally sweet. but what kind of accuracy do u get with it? probly not much sence the barrel is so short.

later

The accuracy on that thing just bites lol, it's great for close quarters, but in a contest it wouldloose seriously lol..

My daily carry is a 32 rossi (S&W long) kind of like a mag round. It's stainless, and accurate as all hell. It is a little on the bulky side to pak without a coat tho.

Well in the intrest of honesty(lol). I've shot that Beretta model plenty of times(my buddy had one). It's called a Bobcat isn't it Lykan? That thing is plenty accurate for what it is Maxx. Thirty-two auto is a pretty potent little round. A hangun ISN'tT a rifle so you can't expect to get Rifle accuracy out of a handgun. Some handguns do suck balls and that's not one of them. VERY accurate handguns that are capable of longer ranges are anything but practical for carry and general self deffense. I wouldn't wanna walk around with a solid steel custom 1911 .45acp with a 7" barrel..lol. Most SD(self deffense) situations occur @ 15yards or less and that handgun is more then capable of hitting a mansize target @ that range. The most important things in SD is proper shot placement and PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Most of the guys I know like to carry .45auto or .357mag/.38special and some of these guys can't hit the broad side of a barn with said calibers..lol.

Speaking of carry, I'm sick of carrying my Kimber Pro-Carry II .45, I wanna get me a Titanium .38special.

I so want a .45 for my daily carry heheh. I picked the rossi because it was #1 accurate #2 steady #3 stainless #4 quiet. I want a .45 but I don't think it's practical for me.

The pistols called a 3032 Tom cat, you were close :D I love it. Mainly for the fact I can actually fit it in the front pocket of my levi's if need be.

It is definetaly accurate for what it is. We put a paper plate on a phone pole about as far away as I would try with a handgun, and we didn't miss but a few. The hydro-shock shells make it a little more potent than your average handgun round :D

I have a shot of one of the shells in the picture thery are a cut hollow point with alittle pin in the middle, they do wonders to pumkins

Lykan - 45 definitely isn't for everyone my man. It's the #1 carried caliber in the US but many can't hit the broad side of a barn with the most accurate .45. When John Browning designed the 1911 and the .45auto catridge he wanted a big ass bullet that was a true one shot "man stoper" and he accomplished that. It's slow but it's got serious NRG. Not to be morbid but late Gramps showed me WWII pics of guy that got hit with 230gr .45 ball in WWII and it's anything but pretty. THeir was a dude that got hit with one shot in the shoulder and his arm was barely hanging on from one piece of tendon. Some of the pics he had he wouldn't even show me.

I'm really impressed with Federal Hydro-SHok in various handgun calibers but my fave is the Reminton Golden Saber as Hydro-Shok has a thinner faster expanding bullet that can have problems with windshields and car doors. Stay away from the Winchester Black box HP's as they have the thinest HP profile. For a .32 though, you wont find anything better then Hydro-shok. If your looking for something more potent then the .32 that's not heavy, you can't beat 38special+P. Or a .357mag revolver as all .357's will shoot .38. You practice with the .38 and carry with the .357mag. (END RANT..hehe).

Your probably come from an Anti-gun hyper liberal family? Guess what? So do I, people can change. A firearm is a tool that merits allot of respect...period.

i used to carry a mossberg 500 with a 16 inch barrel in my front seat of my truck, one day a guy cut me off and started some poop cause they had 5 guys in the truck.i pulled out the pump action fired a couple right passed the roof of there car and damn they sure a fast mother of a car cause the bitches were gone!!!!but also i chased them for a few miles then i got pulled over buy the cops loaded shot gun front seat 2 shells on floor, got yanked out of truck kness in my back hand cuffed, luckily i did work on this cops house he let me go gave 30 min. to get home when he calls house i had to answer it or he was going to put a apb on me,also took all bullets...i kinda gave up on the gun for a while but I'm going to buy a beretta semi auto shot gun for 500.oo new from a friend...becarrful with them guns guys i could of been in jail for a long time i got real lucky...oh yeah the gun serial #'s were grinded off...bad me...

You know roundrocknitro, I have heard the same thing from various people.

Usually the only complaints I get about carring a firearm are from those people who like to fight, rather than talk about their differences.

On the other hand their are the people who depend on the police, and other people for their ultimate protection. I depend on no one when it comes to my family.

Just look at Ratzo for example if any of those men had chose to take his life instead of his money he wouldn't be here. He would have no choice in the matter either.

I have had loud arguments face to face.
I've had a guy try to lay my over the hood of my car for a ass whoopin'
I've had people cut me off in my truck.
I've had adults yell at my kids because they thought they knew what was best for them.
I even once had a guy follow me home because he didn't like my driving style.

All while packing I never took it out they didn't even know I had it. In then 10 years I've had a firearm with me, and the 5 years I have packed it daily(with permit), It has never left it's holster, and for good reason my life hasn't been in danger. Pulling out a firearm forces the others hand, and puts them in the exact situation I am trying to avoid. (IMHO not good)

This is how I feel. When and if, my life, or my familys live is in danger, I would be forced to use it. Until then (and I hope the day never comes) my pistol is in the holster and that is exactly where it stays until we go to the range. You also won't see me wearing it into friends houses either, that's just respect.

If you show off your pistol you are trying to make a statment, I have no statement to make. I don't think I'm cool or bad or mean. It's completely concealed.

No showing off, none of this "you yelled at me here's my gun" it simple, if I feel my life is threatened and you have the means to do so, then there is an issue until then, yell and spit in my face and dissagree all you like.
