I just got it and am changing the pull cord first thing, I'm running the JP-1 pipe and have all the ti-nitride gears, I'm so excited its stupid! It should move my jumbo maxx aluminum wheels pretty good!I'll let you know how it works out!!and get some pics! :smoke:

Congrats! You might have to grind down your header a tad to make it clear the pullstart housing (depends on your header). Otherwise you are going the right route with the pullstart cord replacement. Have fun and good luck to you!

Hmmm...Your pics don't seem to be working...:D

Sounds awesome man, I'd be excited too if I had one of those beasts in my savage :)

I've got the Collari 30 also. I'd like to get rid of the pull start as well. What are you planning to use?

I've yet to find a replacement roto-start

MaXXFX and I have already done the research for you guys on replacing the pullsart. Roto start backplate should be out in about 2 weeks and Tiger Drive is working on it also. I took my .30 out of the truck till the starters get here. Went to a Wasp .28 for now. To hard to tune that thing with the pullstart. Had to rebuild it about 10 times now. Hey Diesel, what carb settings are you running now. The factory specs of 7 1/2(high) and 4.5(low) seem way to rich. I can't get the darn thing to run.

Oh BTW, when MaxxFX does post his pics-the badazzz lookin' Savage climbing over his little LST is mine. HAHAHAHA

Hey I think this savage .30 guy wants to line his small truck against my LST, remember mr. savage .30 LST is losi SUPER truck!!!!!! :boxing: Its on like donkey kong!!!!I know where you live buddy!!LOL

7.5 HSN and about 4 LSN should be correct for break in only. I am running 30%, Mccoy MC-9 with a tad under 7 turns on the HSN and 3.8 on the LSN. Your environment will throw all these off though so just use them as a guideline. The Collari also takes a long time to warm up, so let it run for at least 3-4 minutes before you even think about messing with the needles.

When I was running 20%, Mcoy MC-8 was the perfect plug for me, MC-59 was too hot.

Hope this helps.

oh yeah one more thing, check the plastic fuel inlet nipple. The hole may or may not be large enough, some flashing may have been left over from the factory. I drilled it out with a small drill bit and that definitely helped the fuel flow.

i'm also curious to know how you're liking it now. hope you had a few more runs with it since the weather is getting better.

Got the collari running this evening. OMG!! I can't keep the front wheels down! If I ease into it, when it shifts 2nd the wheels pull up. It will literaly ride the wheelie all the way down the road in 2nd gear.(on wet pavement btw) Neighbors are pissed, this thing is crazy loud with HPI ribbed pipe. Oh well, they will get over it!! MaxxFX still hasn't installed his .30 in his LST. I think he is scared of it!!!!!

collari 30

the ws7 is more of a speed machine. Never seen the rex28

I was wondering if a brand new 4 shoe super maxx clutch would get the job done?
I will if i have to but i dont want to spend the money on the werks...
