no.. Id stay as far away from that as ya can. Get something name brand, otherwise youll never find parts for it. Ya get what ya pay for in this hobby.

I'd buy one or 5...
Who needs parts? It'll go up in flames after a while... LOL
Seriously, I was thinkig about getting one, just to trash it.:ale:
The guy's feedback sucks though...

EXACTLY!

But seeing as you already bid on it, why ask us now?

Let us know how you make out, and what you think of it once you get, and better yet once you break something.

Brian, really, retract your bid and do a little research on the type of vehicle your looking for. Some things to look for:
What are your going to do with it?
What does your local hobby shop (LHS) support for parts (cause you will break stuff!)?
What's your budget?

I am not going to say yes or no, rather I will simply add my .02 cents to the fray.

Almost the exact same thing was sold for a good while at "toys 'R us" and other toy stores nation wide for the beginner enthusiasts.

We have been hashing over this same issues here on RCNT for quite some time now, and the views all differ. i personally feel that if this is one of your first Nitros you are going to end up breaking it. You are going to burn the mill out or something worse eventually and it will all amount to an excellent learning experience for you in all aspects.

The only thing I can say is, they ARE hard to fix. replacement parts are going to be next to impossible to find and once something goes it will prolly be history. Now, are you really willing to go and spend 500 plus on a top of the line model to learn on and then spend all the time and money fixing it after you break it? (BUT- it CAN be fixed and the parts are readily available, if bit pricey)

Bottom line is research what you want and take a good look at your budget. Figure in the price of replacements and other necessities before you go and blow it all on something you may not want. You spend only 100 of a 500 dollar budget on the actual model and if you can find replacements you can afford them. Spend it all on a premo model, break it and have no cash to fix it till next payday. There are allways drawbacks in everyones view- But you have allready bid, so I hope you really thought about what you wanted...chances are no one else is going to bid on this item.

Last tip: You may end up getting this model. Do us a favor. Realize that some people out there are only in it for money. I don't know much about you or your interests, but if you are new to nitro or RC in general please don't get discouraged over a lousy buy if you feel that is what you get. This hobby is pure adrenaline and when you get a good deal you will know it.

My thoughts on it (Besides stay away) is that if your going to spend $150 on one of these, youd be better off spending a couple dollars more and at least getting a duratrax. At least you will be able to get parts for it then. Or even get a used rig. The parts availability is going to be your biggest issue, and cheaper Rc's tend to use cheaper parts that break easier.

After everything the coyote bought that eventually failed, Would you really trust something made by Acme?

Or even get a used rig.

If your on a tight budget this is the ticket IMO. You can find a used HPI mt, HPI rush, Rustler, RC10, Duratrax Evader in the $150.00 price range all day long on eBay....Even used they are all better than the one you linked.

I'm sure your reading this and your thinking we are being negative but we really want you to have an opportunity to enjoy this hobby like we do!

LMFAO.. Thats a great way to put it!!!

go up on your top left to help, type in bid retraction form, and then fill it out. Youll need the auction number..
Yeah, youd be much happier and enjoy the hobby more with something better.

I thought it was a little better than that. How do I retract my bid?

Go to the auction and right under you user id (where it says your winning) click on the word bids, you should see a link that says "retract your bid" Click on that and it will be self explanatory.

I just read this guys feedback and here a couple

Terrible customer service after sale. Truck broke before it was even broken in.

save yer $, cheap plastic, radio shack quality, no returns.buy a traxxas .CRAP

Received car but it did not work-gear box stuck-have went to Paypal to dispute

I passes up a few other bad ones but these were directly linked to rc's

and with most other things you buy

i see loads of these cars on ebay that claim to 60+MPH but i can guarantee you mate IT WON'T, also it claims the rrp is $499.95 i doubt it. With a claim like that ask yourself, why would this guy pay $499.95 for a model (and advertise it) and sell it brand new knowing he won't make a profit.
Check up on ebay for that truck or get the seller to e-mail you details of where you can find it for $499.95 and i will be surprised is he e-mail's you an answer at all.

Invest in a decent truck and if you go second hand get all the info on it you can and don't be afradi to ask lots of questions, like, does it start, run, idle well. How much fuel has passed through it, how old is it, what condition is it in etc etc.
This is a handy phrase to remember:
IF IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT
(the above should be self explanitory as to what it means)

and finally whatever truck you buy just remember HAVE FUN! :)

Thanks

Thanks guys very informative. I was not able to retract my bid so I'll just take the car and use it. I'm just usin it to bash around with for a while again thanks for your information

yeah you aint able to withdraw a bid within 12hours of the ending time. What did you go up to? Hopefully ya get outbid.

That is probably a long shot...

it might happen but chances are with the hundreds of similar adds those people who are interested in buying one clicked on the same item on another auction.

Either way, don't fall out of the hobby if you get this rig man. Worst case it will break soon, and you will be unable to fix it.

I did the exact same thing as you with my first Nitro and bought a cheap one off Ebay. It lasted a few tanks and I learned what I needed to learn- How to use my brain to make something work when it shouldn't due to poor makes manship. I learned a bit of throttle control and then I learned what a Nitro engine looks like after it blows WOT into a very heavy, stationary object.

Best of luck to you mate... You might have gotten a bad deal- but you learned and that is exactly what everything in this hobby and life itself is about.

Also keep in mind that ebay is a great place to sell trash to people.
When You get it, turn around and sell it for the same price including shipping. Thats a $30 loss and just make sure you don't offer paypal - LOL.

Still a good beater, that will create a nice impact fire if you treat it right...
