Yeah when ya get in the southern locations (AKA Bible Belt) crime doesn't get by that easy. hmmm.... welll with the exception of DUIs some times. Depends on the $$$ it seems.

California enacted a law called Three Strikes. If you have comitted 3 felonies, you are sentenced to life in prison.

We also have the Use a gun and you're done law. If a firearm is used in any crime, regardless that no rounds were fired, you get put away for life. No wonder California's prisons are over crowded, we need to bring back the gas chamber and electric chair into service. No sence in warehousing POS that will never see the light of day again.
