So I'm just gona give myself a pat on the back for this one. My lil brother 13yoa, saved up all summer to get himself a nitro rc. Ended up having just enough to get a team associated RC10 gt. Good little truck, but not for what he needed. (gotta remember, were in Louisiana, grass, and mudd is all we got) So after a really nasty bashing session a couple of months ago with the t-maxx 3.3, i decided to hang up my remotes in the nitro world. It had been sitting under a table in my second bedroom/hobby room. It still had about 2 lbs of grass, dirt and mud on her. So i took out the spektrum reciever, and popped back in the stocker, gathered all of the stuff for it, and brought it over to my parents house. I handed it all over to my lil bro and said clean it, run a tank through it and ill give you $25.
Now, i have no intention of giving him any money, but if he does prove to me that he can responsibly take care of the rig, and put a tank through it without breaking anything, I'm just gona tell him to keep it. The lil bastard worked so hard all summer, i had to see him with somthing he would enjoy.

That's just being a good big-brother right there. He's probably thinking how it's going to be an easy $25 plus he gets to drive his brothers rig, he'll flip out when you tell him to keep it. Keeping us safe and putting a big ol smile on your brothers face, good job man!

This is totally unfair!

It's a Maxx, NO ONE can run a tank through one without breaking something :hehe:

With the exception of a f'd up connection rod, and a stock shock i havent broken anything at all on this thing.

That's one hell of a gesture man. You better be braced for when he does break something though 'cause you're gonna be Mr. 'how do I fix this bit?' :)

No, hes actually very smart, and has a good grasp on how these things work. He is able to take it out whenever he wants, knows proper break in and after run procedures, and actually does them better than most adults.

Wow. That's really something. I remember being pretty au-fait with the basics with electric buggies when I was that age but to know how to run Nitro properly and fix it when it goes wrong... good on the little guy :)

good for you alpine, very good gesture.

Nice job man, I'm sure he will flip out when he gets those 4 little words that mean so much, "You can keep it!"
Great way to test him as well!

I think that's really great. Way to be a big hero to him.

Unfortunately he will harbor secret hatred for you for the rest of his life, knowing that you screwed him out of that $25 he worked so hard for. You SUCK, man.

Wish I had a little brother to pass this on to... Instead my girlfriend wants to get into it--can't have any toys to myself! Silly girls!

You are the coolest big brother ever. My brother never gives me anything, I give things to him. :(
Jk.

Edit: But yeah, it's fun to have some older brothers and sisters that can hand down old things.
My brother just gave me some rare t-shirts that don't fit him anymore.

My older brother is an alcoholic, juiced up douche bag. I dont want my lil bro to see me the same way we see the oldest.
