and dont forget about Gran Tourismo is only on playstation platform. i would take a ps2 over an xbox anyday. and as soon as the ps3 comes out (probobly a year later for prices to drop and make sure nothings wrong with it) ill trade in all my ps2 stuff for some store credit.

i also hate the xbox controllers a lot and find the Playstation ones much easier to use.

the halo series is probably the best game ever IMO, yet it is the only reason i would buy xbox. It isnt for PS2.

Dont know about the F1 Game.

Halo is REALLY overated if ya ask me. I thought it was cool for about the 1st 10 minutes or so, but after that, I was bored outta my mind. I've had The Xbox (Modded), CameCube and the Ps2, and I think BY far the better system is the Ps2. The Xbox controllers sucked, the games seemed slim pickings, and the remote to play the Dvds was a joke. The Game Cube was actually not to bad, and now well worth the $99 price tag (With 2 controllers and Video Game) but again the games were slim pickings and seemed more Kid orientated (Besides Resident Evil. That game right there is worth buying the system alone) and the Ps2 controllers are mint, the Dvd player is actually pretty good, and their are TONS of games. The only downside I have found so far is with the dvd remote, you can't shut the whole system off. I have to get my lazy ass up and actually go and shut it off!! I know.. It sucks..lol.. But yeah, Ps2, Good choice.

Andy you hit that one right on the nose,Halo is very overated,i played it and was and still unhappy with it.

Buying a game system because it has ONE good game is just ludacris IMO. Microsoft has a pretty crappy reputaion if you ask me, and losing the ability to control "backwards compatible" games is a bad move for the X-Box 360 Team. Ss for what the guy up there /\ said, the X-Box does come with an HDD support system...wow. X-Box Live + An ethernet Cable = 60 bucks a year in fees to play online, inability to play any game that was released for an arlier console and that amazing hard drive, witch when you get with the thing jacks the price up a hundred dollars.

PS2 On the other hand does not charge a fee to play games online, or even browse at the moment. When the PS3 is released Sony is expecting to run the core system for 400 Bucks. Kind of impressive that you thecontrolers, HDD and a game for that.

All in all, I played the X-box 360 the other day when I went to grab the new Resident Evil and the graphics are amazing in every aspect. It's one of the most realistic game platforms I have ever seen and Sony will have to work thier asses off to provide that same detail when they release the PS3 next year.

me for the halo dont care that much for it.

and for the dvd remote not shutting the system off that is true, actually i think thats why my ps2 is broke because i was to lazy to get up and shut it off.

i bought my ps1 for gran turismo 1 when that came out, then i got GT2. when gran tursimo 3 came out i bought that and the ps2 on the same day. that series is the only reason i have a game console, and i still consider it money well spent. make your choice based on the games you want to play, simple as that. heck you can add a HDD to a playstation too if you want.
