What are some high power pullstart engines i could put in my mdx 4 rr? Right now i have a OS something like v999 and its just too much of a hassle to have the starter boxes and stuff. i just put a new piston and sleve in it so how much could i get for that engine? thanks for your help

yes they are, if only they made pullstart engines tho

the ofna hyper is the one i was looking at too, its pretty cheap!

so what do u guys think someone will buy my current engine for?

I have an OS, actually 3 of them but only one is a 21.

Although, it isn't the highest hp out there by far. But it does have pull start

The OS 21 RG-X(P) is what i have on my 21 maxx. You can get it without the pullstart as well.

I'm guessing you may have the OS 21 RZV (i think that's what it is). I believe it was made primarily for 1/8 buggies. From what i've seen, the majority of those, if not all, are setup for bump start.

if you strictly want a pull start .21 size mill i would choose the hyper 8 port or the OS rg .21. both great mills...although from my experience the OS last longer, is easier to tune and break in, and has great low end and mid range. the hyper 8 is more of a top end motor. it usualy needs the needles touched each time out, plus the pull start is rather feeble. I've ran 2 gallons thru my OS rg only touching the needles 3-4 times....seriosly. although if size doesn't matter i would also recomend the XTM 24.7 with the updated big head...IME it is about on par with the OS at least for tuning and reliability, although it has alot more power. as for longevity i can't say yet becuase am on only 2 gallons thru both the OS and 24.7. all 3 of these mills can be had for about 140$ i have also heard the picco's/wasp are absolute screamers (latest RCNT dynoed the wasp .26 as the most powerful engine ever, 2.6+ real hp) there are many more pull start .21's...these are the most poplar it seems.

yes all engines over the size of a .21 will fit were an .21 size mill originally was. the only size difference is in the stroke/bore. BTW is you plan to race make sure your track allows any size motor to be raced. if you jsut plan to bash..have fun i hear from everyone that picco .26 is monster. the picco .26 is the same engine as the wasp .26. have heard it can be a little tricky to tune...but the power is well worth the patience. RCNT had good things to say about it...as for its powerband it falls of very rapidly after 28K but made insane power (the most RCNT claims to have ever tested) up to that point.

.12 .15 .18 small block
.21 .25 .26 .27 big block

and yeah... the Picco .26's are insane

Its no just aftermarket super motor but the 21B from a Storm are great. Easy tuning, great starts, even better with a roto start(HPI .21 back plate fits perfect) GL on findind ur motor
