Going to see Frank Shamrock vs Gracie fight

I am stoked! Fight is next Friday and should be very exciting. Last time I saw Frank fight was when he whooped Tito Ortiz's ass to defend the light heavyweight UFC title. I'm also very excited to see Cung Le in his first MMA fight. I've seen him live twice with San Shou rules. I'm hoping he doesn't do too badly in his first MMA outing.

Is this Royce Gracie or some other gracie? If so, man hes been fighting a while. I have the UFC tapes from 1 threw like 15. Good stuff!

It's Cesar Gracie, one of the up and comers from the Gracie clan. Though I do hear that Royce Gracie is coming out of retirement.

That should be a good fight. Cesar has a school in Hollywood somewhere. Nick Diaz trains under him. Royce is going to fight my buddy Hughes in May, I'm hoping it's going to be the same time I'm in Vegas so I can see it live. Since I'll be pretty irritable and not doing a whole lot this weekend I'll be getting UFC 58 on PPV. Anyone want to come by your welcome! Monkey, no assless chaps at my house though! Man thongs are ok, but no chaps!

Did Ken Shamorck ever come out of retirement? I heard he was gonna. Back in the day him and Royce used to have some KILLER matches. Has anyone seen the "Ufcavid Vs. Goliath"? I have that one on tape and its one of my favs. Alot of kick ass matches, if ya havnt seen it, check it out.

Ken is going to be one of the coaches on TUF3 with none other than his buddy Tito. After the show for UFN they will fight each other one more time. Should be interesting to see how they interact on the show.

Countdown to UFC 58 about an hour and a half. Two awesome fights tonight I can't wait to see!!!!

Some fight results from last nights Strikeforce show.

Shamrock vs Gracie-Both fighters weighed in at about 185 but Gracie is 7 years older than Shamrock's 33 years. Gracie also looked like he has never touched a weight in his life, while Frank was in his normal ripped fighting form. The fight lasted 21 seconds, with Frank taking him out with an overhand right and two left hooks when he hit the mat. His corner threw in the towel but it was useless since the ref stopped the fight.

Cung Le's MMA debut went off with a victory when he knocked his opponent Mike Altman out with a spinning back kick to the stomach near the fence. When the other guy bounced off the fence from the kick, he threw a short right hook ot his jaw and it was lights out. Admittedly I am a big Cung Le fan but his opponent was not a pure MMA fighter(he also came from San Shou). I don't think Cung would have done as well if he had a person with more MMA experience in the ring.

Next time a show is in town we will go. Hopefully despite all the fights that broke out during and after the show the promotors will come back to San Jose.
