whats the going rate for a 5bss and a 5t? theirs a lot of different prices in my area just dont want to get ripped off

Online prices for a Baja SS is just under $900 and just under $1,200 for the 5SC. At a LHS you can probably expect to pay a bit more for either.

Yeah. Seriously though... prices on these tend to vary a bit but you have to consider any shipping costs if buying online. IMO there's nothing wrong with trying to haggle with your LHS IF you are paying cash.

DDM or Large Scale is going to be your best best for a new Baja. Both have 5% off coupon codes and free shipping.

If you are talking used then anywhere from $500-$800 for a stock RC and the sky is the limit for modded.

those 2 places are going to be the MOST expensive places..IMO..they are trying to make $$...try EBAY or Amain hobbies..they are also cheaper..just do a GOOGLE SEARCH it will do the CHEAPEST PRICES..;);)

Ebay still has lots of rip offs and scam artists that bait and switch. I would stay away from Ebay. It's also good to support your local hobby shop.

Yes, most businesses I know of are in it to make money, otherwise it would be called a charity. :p: There's also more to a price than just the bottom line. If it weren't for a lot of vendors, Dave at DDM included, large scale wouldn't be where it is today. If I order from DDM, they fill and ship my order the following day, and it gets from UT to NC in three days, always. I did the Google shopping thing when I first got into large scale, 17 business days later I had the part I was waiting for. Personally, I'm willing to pay a bit more for great service, and to support vendors who give back to the hobby. I also still drive three hours round trip to support my LHS, that I've been going to for over 12 years. But, that's just my opinion.

ebay is the best place to shop.Still has the best prices around..Unlike the dealers trying to make a quick buck..

So you are saying Ebay are not dealers? Really? Most part sellers are dealers. I actually LIKE DDM and O'Neill Brothers I think they have sold me more parts for large sclae than anyone. But to each their own.

Ebay may have the best prices, but most of the time you get what you pay for. Also remember that as Joey said, that almost all of the parts sellers are in it to make money and are dealers. IMO it's better to keep your money locally if you can or to go with dealers that have good reputations in the industry such as DDM.
