I have a nitro rustler with the ez-start system.
I was wondering if I could put a glow starter on it.

Yes, just take the wire off that goes to your plug, and put a glow starter on.

why would you want to put a glow starter on it? has your wire broke or something?

The starter battery will last longer
Less chance of failer

IMO you should scrap the whole ez start and buy a pull start. I have been using a pull start on my Savage for a while, when I got my LST it had a roto start on it and if I keep the truck it's getting a pull start.

I used to think electric starters where the best thing on earth but now they are just a PITA and more crap to mess with.

Exactly!

Plus it is much easier to destroy one way bearings using the easy or roto start sytems.

But to answer your question, yes you can lose the wire and use a glow igniter. It will work much better than using that scrawny wire to lite the plug.
