What are some of the best? I have a dynamite meter'd one and an os slim one and i hate both. I want something with low recharge time, high lifetime, smaller than sub-c (too much weight on top wears out the clip on bottom too fast) Will anything fit in that category?

Mr bob has got the right idea. My Hobbico battery lasted over a year!!!! and for the price you can't beat it. Better than recharging any day.

so you just use the battey till its dead and then get a new one?

Those are usually for running off a power panel on a starter box or that battery is for leaving in a field box for an airplane. Do you really want to carry around something the size of a 6v battery? I have the ignitor with the leads to plug into my starter box power panel but have to say it's really for a last resort type of thing. The leads always find their way into the tires and it's a game I'd rather not play with my truggy. I have a few different ones, the McDaniels are pretty good, and the dynamites are fine too, just remember like anything else, to charge your batteries regularly and not leave it sit for weeks. I've used one through an entire weekend of racing on a single charge. Also you can buy an individual single sub-c cell of a higher rating to put in there.

i user the dubro ones, i have three of them and they seem to work great. but rememgber they are nicd so you will need to cycle them to keep the life in the battery
