I suspected that my Dynamite glow starter might have been faulty as I never really got a 'full' bright orange glow from a plug.
And many a times my engine was difficult to start. I purchased a better re-chargeabel DuBro one. The Dynamite starter has the meter on the top, takes "C" size alkalines. The DuBro takes either Nicd or Nimh cells. With a fully charged Nicd, the Dubrow will light a plug to a blinding orange glow. The Dynamite, with a brand new quality alkaline, only gets half of the plugs coil to light and then it really isn't that bright. I wonder if the meter on the Dynamite starter being part of the circuit is the reason why it doesn't iluminate the plug like the DuBro (no meter) does? I think back to all those times when the engine wouldn't start, or was difficult to start, that it had something to do with this cheap glow starter. You get what you pay for, right ?
