I recommend having a replaceable battery. In an emergency, you can pop in an alkaline replacement cell or another NiMH cell.
 
Since i've got back into this hobby, i bought a Li-po glow driver. Can't replace the battery in it but it lasts a good while. Used it to start everyone's truck first time out with it, about 4 hours of running, never had an issue with low battery problems.

Always a good idea to have a spare or extra battery.
 
Yeah, it came with my Exceed Forza back in the day. The only good thing that came with the kit. Ha ha.
 
I just ordered the Dynamite Lipo ignitor, it has really good reviews and led lights that actually work to tell you it needs to be charged and if the glow plug is bad. I am sick of buying C batteries.
 
i have one that i got with a redcat starter kit. The starter is not bad at all, i charge it and it does what i need it to do. I might get one of those exceed one's
