Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt the hot plugs for hotter weather or is it to keep it warmer in the colder temp weather?

Has nothing to do with ambient temp. It is reference to timing.

Hi Guys. I am a newbie and struggling to get my new Raptor 2 to run. I have been fiddling with the settings and now want to put them back to factory. Do you know where I can get factory settings. The car starts and then cuts as soon as i remove glow ignitor. How long should a glow plug last. I have finished the 2 tanks of run in and been through 2! Pete

its not uncommen to go through a couple of glow plugs doing break in.Google your engine and you will find factory default settings

Ya but timing will change your temps right? When would u use a hot glow plug? Just wondering cause the guy at the half ass LHS near me was telling me that the hotter plug will make it run hotter and very touchy as far as tuning. I was under the impressions from some posts i read that u would wanna run a hot plug in the summer. If not i will go back to a medium..

General rule of thumb:

Hot plugs for low nitro % fuel
Cold plugs for high nitro % fuel.

The plug has very little to do with overall engine temp, and ambient temp has little to do with the plug you should use.
As always, there are a few exceptions to every rule.

So i would be ok with a med. plug for 20% then? And is there a power differnce useing either plug?

you will be fine. a medium or cold plug with 20% will likely give you a bit wider tuning window.

You would be fine with a medium plug.
You probably would not notice a difference with a well tuned engine in good condition with either plug unless you compared them with a Dyno.
